I love your videos man. I have never been an old CoD player and Zombies is what made me fell in love with the series. So BO6 Round Based Zombies was my first ever entry to the Zombies genre. Meanwhile i knew about Zombies and classic CoD cutscenes deaths gameplays stories never was able to play it before. When i started to get deeper into old games and got more curious about old stuff (cuz i saw a lot of complains and blabber about BO6 Zombies from people) i started to look up older games and what made them differ and started to get curious about the nostalgic factor and why some people disliked the new version. What i ended up realising was actually totally different than what i was expecting to have in all honesty. In my research i got to the conclusion of some things which i would love to list here: 1) What watching old CoD Zombies stuff made me realise to appreciate the stuff we have given and the QoL's right now for sure. 2) But what i realised also is that meanwhile some perks definetly feel nerfed like Jugg, Speed Cola (without the classic formula for more reload speed) and like Deadshot which i thought they are like boosts and shouldnt impact the game more than guns on BO6's case they definetly made to feel like they are powerups and definitive gameplay choices options and patterns. 3) So like customizing and making them impact the gameplay more your boost options definetly come in with nerfs in perks case but balanced with customizing your experience so you are made to feel the change and realise "oh when i get this this happens and this could help me" 4) Having alternative ammo mods and rarity upgrades with the add ons with loadouts to the guns gives even more customizable player experience and saves the mode from getting a stalemate loop. 5) Points system is better for the newer version cuz all of these stuff that i mentioned. In conclusion: Does BO6 RBZ feel nostalgic? Definetly not. But it achieves and solves 2 problems in the long run. 1) You are made to play the game the way you want to play. 2) You get to experiment and have more fun with the more accessible stuff you have at hand now. Final Thoughts: BO6 RBZ is definetly far from the best but i do think it achieves what Zombies should look like in the long term. And people needs to look at this one rather than a nostalgia to a totally new mode which is trying to make you feel more fun in the long term. So are complains valid to me? I dont feel like the complains are totally valid but i can see the reason behind it as a gamer myself. I just hope that people get to see this and understand the differences between and try to enjoy more what we have right now. Keep up the good work man! I love your videos and i hope you will get more subs and viewers in time. And remember to have fun! Much love ❤
@ No i did not 😅. I felt like sharing this cuz of the reasons i listed on my comment and wanted to just say they are doing an amazing job. Idk if people would agree or not but opinions exist ofc.
Quite honestly everything you said is true and would hold the most weight to a new player but honestly, everything you just said makes the game far too easy for a person (like the poster here) because half of the appeal of these older games, has been the barebones aspect of it. While this footage may not look entrawling. These games were built hard and unforgiving to basically force you to die eventually. The new games are not built around you inevitably dying. So as a result it’s been incentivized to make the mode far easier. Which does defeat the point of an inevitably unbeatable horde based mode. Now you need to balance it regarding a beginning and end. When in old cod games. The mode revolves around the fact that you aren’t meant to survive past about round 50 anything after that is a feat and is more just for show. But doing zombies this way, allowed the old games to have a much more unforgiving, oppressing, and scary environment for the player to survive in, and back in the day, that was the appeal all by itself. I used to litterally have nightmares as a child about Kino Der Toten. Because black ops 1 not only was an incredibly hard zombies, but also because the map itself was genuinely spooky, and I feel like that’s what the older maps tried to focus on. Was atmosphere and esthetic. But let me give one example, Kino der Toten, an abandoned N*zi theatre that high ranking n*zis would attend. With them in mind (Richthofen and Maxis were creating “undead soilders” to hopefully win WW2 after the heavy losses Germany was facing at the end of the war (which is why for for the early waw maps, you are playing as US soilders because you are essentially the faction that has to deal with these zombies basically playing for the other team, hence “N*zi Zombies) but it all takes place right after the war, basically doing a spin on reality when the Germans tried to employ things like the “Werwolfs” which were basically N*zi t*rrorists meant to terrorize post n*zi Germany. In cods case, instead of US forces having to clear out t*rrorists, they have to clear out Zombies. But essentially for the same semi fictional reasoning. My overall point here being, is that old cod zombies (WaW/Black Ops 1) did not revolve around player retention and balance. It revolved around theme, lore, immersive gameplay, and honestly to a subtle degree, horror. Like when World at Wars story ends, and it places you in Nacht der Untoten. While is is scary, the implication of it is supposed to be spookier. (Being that the allied powers have beat Germany as u literally raise the Soviet flag on the Reichstag at the end of the game. And now you have to face off against essentially N*zi Germany’s last hail marry to pull back through and win the war, and in the lores case, they lose the war but they inadvertently *going by the zombies storyline primarily* end the world, from the likes of the b01 map Moon. But to cap it off, my point is that the newer games are about gameplay, and the older games were about a semi fictional gritty atmosphere that had a lived in story you can analyze and take a lot from. Back in the day (waw - b02 era) people took that a lot more seriously. Go watch early MrDalekJD videos about the zombies story and you’ll see there was a lot of interest regarding that. Unfortunately after black ops 3, the devs kind of lost the plot and made it really hard to sympathize with what I’m saying if you are taking the stories of the newer games into account when reading this. So you would really only understand it like this, is if you were able to use some historical context from the end of ww2, and if you were following along with people exposing Easter eggs and further lore to the mode. But if you take all of that aside and strictly focus on the gameplay. Yeah these games are balanced worse and are harder to beat and impossible to win. But at a certain point in this modes history. That was almost the point.
@@JACOBTHASECOND Oh i totally get what you mean. What really made me so much interested about the zombies was the aesthetic and the story building around it as well. But when i put my fair share and thought into it besides from the story telling i get to the conclusion of stories just evolve. Do we have the same horror dynamic on the new games? Not to this extent for sure. But i like how the lore expanded and while trying to keep most of the stuff they had to rennovate with how the world evolved as well i think. I do think they did manage to capture some of that aesthetic with Terminus and Citadelle Des Morts. A medival castle and a prison island. Is it like this? Definetly not. And i would definetly prefer more of a ruin kind aestethics as well which is what i am hoping for for the final map of the story. The dig site has the potential to make a horrifying map in ruins after the implications of what happened on the story and after France was abandoned. We will see i guess. I cant wait enough for Origins. I wanna try out the staffs im too hyped for it 😂
great video, am guessing this is a mod as the spawn rate doesn't seem right. looks like round 1 spawn rate compared to 56 so the zombies are taking 48 seconds to spawn a horde rather then 6 seconds just a littler nick pick
oh no guys. I started the video with 510 points instead of 500. Type it in the comments!!
That’s ok. It’s basically the exact same. I’m still gonna love the old zombie vids either way
And at the start of the vid I was like “why did he buy quick revive it’s waw” but then I remembered the title said bo1

Hey man new sub, honestly great content keep it up
I remember doing something like this when a modder changed the round to 115 on bo2
great video, am guessing this is a mod as the spawn rate doesn't seem right. looks like round 1 spawn rate compared to 56 so the zombies are taking 48 seconds to spawn a horde rather then 6 seconds just a littler nick pick
yeah im trying to find a proper mod menu with proper spawn rates. The mod menu won't scale spawn rates after changing the round.
@CODzGameplay the strat tester will work but it starts you with 500k
@@Mystlc_YT do you know what he used for his videos? th-cam.com/video/t0xd656zZfQ/w-d-xo.html
I really want to do nacht bo1 but the spawn rates ruin the train strategy
