The fact theat she said the girl from my R is mumbling to herself, proves that the girl is actually stopping herself from jumping all this time, all of the other braided, short, and petite girl she tried to stop is actually herself, and she didn't actually died beacause she's saved by this observer.
I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes as the ending of My R that I listened to a few years back had me in tears with such a sad ending, and here comes a girl who actually does come in the way and says, "Hey, don't do it" to the same little jingle.
“Hey that’s a good thing.” This one’s Hey, That’s A Good Thing. “A girl who had forbidden love, and twisted the truth”: I think this might be Check Check One Two (or whatever it’s called) “A girl who had a heart that desired love so much she grew into a monster:” This is definitely Hate It Hate It Jigahidi “A girl who called her everyday life hEcK, drawing pictures all alone:” Parade Of Mediocre People. “A closed space, a classroom ruled by terror and fear, and a youth who had closed her heart.” Vague, but I think it’s Chururira Chururia Dadada “From beyond the headset spread a similar looking world. Reality and fantasy aren’t so different, huh?” This one’s easy, it’s VR Dance. “So, let’s throw everything away!” Again, easy. It’s TRASH and TRASH. “The girl whose pocket of memories broke, and the boy who chased after her.” This is Forgetful Girl. And the girl on the rooftop is from My R.

1:33 Wait, it's actually a My R different point of view. When the protagonist in My R talks to 'another girl' in braided hair she was actually muttering to herself
Every one of them had something as she said but she was the only one that had nothing, she thought, but she didn't realise that she was the one that kept and wrote their stories, she is the one that didnt let them get lost in the crowd.

The last part of the song i think she said "hey, dont do it" from the song My r 😭 the same thing that the cardigan girl keeps using to prevent herself from commiting suicide
I know your comment is old, but it's literally it. While all comment of the "binocular girl" are about other song from Kurage-P, My R comes out multiple times, the last one is her saying "Hey, don't do it"
Gonna expand on it more and say the song's opening implies the narrator was friends with the girl who very likely killed herself in "But I Loved You," making her stepping in even more meaningful

Honestly I can relate to the whole "Everyone had something" quote bit. Ghosted my whole way through childhood, never made substantial friends or did anything special besides scrape by through highschool like it was a 9-5 job. I was always an observer watching on the sidelines so I can really sympathize with the perspective in this song lol, reminds me of the childhood I kinda just let slip past.
yeah it's scary not to have friends in high school people don't even bother to talk to you. Just set next to them and they pretend you are thin air. Uni is kinda better though, at least people are forced to talk because they also don't know anyone.
OAAAA THIS ENTIRE ALBUM IS SO COMFORTING I THINK because it acknowledges the issues teenagers and similar "youths" go through . "There were youths like that" is kind of like acknowledgment and recognition, like - you aren't the only one who may feel like this, and that such struggles are validated in the eyes of both society and the world
This is my favorite album in Vocaloid because most of the songs are so realistic. This song and “Hey, that’s a good thing” always make me cry, but especially this one, because it is the bittersweet ending to the album. The part where she stops the girl from jumping makes my heart melt. I need more of the story
I aslo like how this "observer" finally did something inherent than just stand and watch at the end. She saw the girl wasn't well and actually tried to stop her.
theres references to all the songs in this its honestly upsetting that people only get the my r one and that hikaru and rachie get credit and more views for the song my r like dont get me wrong I love them and their covers but dude- w h y
It took me FOUR YEARS to realize that the "nee yame na yo" at the end of this version doesn't exist in this version unlike the ones on streaming platforms. No wonder I always felt something was wrong with this one.
4:21 is single handedly the most powerful leitmotif I have ever heard in any song to date. The moment I heard the 5 notes, it gave me goosebumps all over my body, and the way it resolved on the final note put a smile and tears on my face. I listened to My R recently, and heard that there was a second part to this story with the final song of album. Hoping that it offered the end to this story that I so desperately wanted. I was essentially crossing my fingers hoping that was the case when I first saw the girl being mentioned in this song. And my anticipation was gently put to rest in the most beautiful of ways. The choice of having those notes play without any vocals was *genius* I think it was a significantly more effective delivery of the motif. This also probably impacted way harder because I was familiar with the English version of My R first. Allowing the viewer to either hear the 5 words in their head, or allow them to sing it themself Absolutely amazing...
I feel as if this song is telling people that anyone can have problems, even if they’re young. And that everyone’s struggles are different and people deal with them in different ways. I could have this totally wrong but I personally like to think this.
Well what I get is that everyone has different problems and different positive things "everyone has something" some people don't have many positive things some don't have many negative things and some like the perspective this song is sung from don't have anything at all like that and wish they knew what it feels like but at the end of the song saying "don't do it please" is something my mother always told me try to talk to everyone you can help them someday you may keep someone from taking their own life everyone can do anything and everyone has something thats the message I get
All the references in order! "Hey, that's a good thing" - But I loved You "I've heard urban legends about that murderous monster" - Murder Monster "The girl who had a forbidden love, & twisted the truth" - Check Check One Two! "A girl who had a heart that desired love so much she grew into a monster" - Hate it! Hate it! Huge Ego! "A girl who called her everyday life 'hell', drawing pictures alone" - Parade Of Mediocre People "A girl talking to herself on the rooftop, muttering with a blank look on her face" - My R "A closed space, a classroom, ruled by terror & fear, with a youth who had closed her heart" - Chururira Chururira Daddadda! "From beyond the headset spread a similar looking world" - Dance! VR Dance! "That girl was on the roof today too, hanging her head while heading home" - My R "So, let's throw everything away" - Trash & Trash "The girl whose pocket of memories broke, & the boy who chased after her, were youths too, 'The person who loves you is me' she said, lying and painting over herself with a new girl, living an ever changing love" - Forgetful Girl "The girl who pretended not to know that in the absent-minded boy's eyes, there was an unfamiliar adult, the night comes again like usual, & he remembers, the warmth of those hands" - Amagoi Miseinen "That girl who's crying, who I don't know the name of" "That girl on the roof, clad in yellow" "I'll say something to her today, something that I don't even think" "Hey" and the last five notes - My R
Woah, cool! Didn't notice that detail at first. From what I can tell of the PV, I guess this is a response/sequel song to "My R" and various other Kurage P songs (Murder Monster, Parade of Mediocre People, Hate it Hate it Huge Ego, Trash and Trash, VR Dance, and Check Check One Two), as they're frequently referenced in the video and from what little I understand of the lyrics. Then again, all of the songs are in the same album, so...
Yeah, I think this song is like the summary of the album, from the point of view of the person who's been observing all these people :D The first part is also almost a direct link to "That's a Good Thing" (one of my favourite Kurage-P songs). But I think out of all of the songs mentioned, the girl in this song seems to be most connected to the girl from "My R" because of how often she appears and, although the girl in "My R" is probably thinking no-one cares about her enough to stop her committing suicide, the protagonist in this song probably wants to save her, as seen at the end. Perhaps it offers some hope to people who felt similar to how the girl feels in "My R", to show them that there will be someone there who cares.
+feralfauna, actually it kinda hinted that the protagonist connected to a girl from "But i loved you/That's a good thing"(maybe even a friends). She said that after the girl disappear she will be all alone again.. and "continue her homework" to observe the youth, indicating that while the girl is there... she put her "work"(observing the youth) into rest and doesn't feel lonely.
The last couple notes of the song right after her saying “I’ll say something to her today” Was the same tune during my r when the song says “hey don’t do it please”

The last part of the song i think she said "hey, dont do it" from the song My r 😭 the same thing that the cardigan girl keeps using to prevent herself from commiting suicide
I know your comment is old, but it's literally it. While all comment of the "binocular girl" are about other song from Kurage-P, My R comes out multiple times, the last one is her saying "Hey, don't do it"
Thats what I was thinking
The flow of the music following "Hey" says it all
it's also the same melody
Gonna expand on it more and say the song's opening implies the narrator was friends with the girl who very likely killed herself in "But I Loved You," making her stepping in even more meaningful
4:28-4:33
We all know what she said...
"Hey, don't do it please."
Once she says that, the theme that accompanies "Hey, don't do, it please." plays. Listen closely. It broke me when I found this out.
@@ixcors When you're kind of happy because it looks like she's gonna stop the girl in the yellow cardigan, with braids that is short as can be, then the theme starts playing and you receive the most critical of hits right on the heart

THE LITTLE GUITAR STRUM AT THE END THAT IS THE SAME TUNE AS THE “Hey, don’t do it please” IN MY R
MY HEART
MY POOR HEART

4:27 ここのリズムわたしのアールのやつなんだよなぁ…エモい…✨
4:21 is single handedly the most powerful leitmotif I have ever heard in any song to date. The moment I heard the 5 notes, it gave me goosebumps all over my body, and the way it resolved on the final note put a smile and tears on my face. I listened to My R recently, and heard that there was a second part to this story with the final song of album. Hoping that it offered the end to this story that I so desperately wanted. I was essentially crossing my fingers hoping that was the case when I first saw the girl being mentioned in this song. And my anticipation was gently put to rest in the most beautiful of ways. The choice of having those notes play without any vocals was *genius*
I think it was a significantly more effective delivery of the motif. This also probably impacted way harder because I was familiar with the English version of My R first.
Allowing the viewer to either hear the 5 words in their head, or allow them to sing it themself
Absolutely amazing...

It's a crime how many people don't know about this track and the closure it offers to My R.

At 4:27 the guitar plays the "nee yamete yo" part of My R!! :O
I JUST THOUGHT THAT OMG
