Try somewhere local when using new gear for the first time, just in case something goes wrong, like a tent leaking etc.. Respect the countryside, arrive late, leave early and leave no trace.
Absolutely love your videos and your banter, keep them coming - fair weather wanderer just wrap up warm plus nee midges to worry about 😂- here's me who wouldn't even dare to attempt what you have done = merits respect!! I'd be game for tent camping to start off with, I'd be too scared for hammock incase the bloody strap snapped and end up arse over tit - I'm not the barbecue 😂
Thanks for your comment, the term fair weather wanderer is a name I now use in response to a troll called me a long time ago, his remark was a bit offensive at the time because he used the C word, so deleted his comment. I now wear it as a badge. I dont have to justify myself but feel like telling you anyway, basically, I go out camping when its best for filming content and it also depends on conditions, my cameras at the time werent weather sealed, I like star lapses and I also enjoy decent weather for the experience. I can survive in dire situations but why suffer for TH-cam when people want to see me having fun, wild camping, not rained out, fogged out and depressing videos where the view from a tent is middle grey and narration?

I thought maybe you fellas had bought some land or maybe had permission to use it from a land owner as your camp looked cool but obviously took a bit of time to build and guessed maybe it was private as a lot of non private camp's don't tend to last very long(vandals etc) and I was going to ask that... if you had permission. Ok, my mistake, I often get comments which can be viewed as sarcasism or worse, so thanks for explaining. Harwood forest is open access forestry land but wild camping isn't allowed. Idiots leaving rubbish and starting fires that get out of control, probably contributed to no overnight camping. Wild camping is not allowed in England unless you have permission from the land owner but is often tollerated in certain places like national parks so long as you are responsible and leave no trace. I thought your camp looked great though (quite jealous, haha) Anyway...I guessed the majority was open access land. I just thought maybe you were part of a bushcraft group/club or that you or one of your mates might have ran a club/ bushcraft courses and ocassionally used that private land during closing hours... as I know some groups like that have their own private land, that is attached to public forest areas woodland etc Or that was rented to them by the national trust or something for those purposes.
