Hello, The pad is 100% cotton and as the under-pad is heat resistant there is no fading or burning of the cover or pad underneath. The cover can be removed and washed however it should be washed in a delicate cycle with no bleaching agent to prevent fading.

The Product is good but breaks down easy I got one had too issues with Miele Fashion Master not value for money highly disppointed with this product of Miele were as other products i have are great i.e Washing machine and Dryer
