My Wish: Bradee Vance gets his wish to watch Duke vs. UNC 🏀 | ESPN

As part of the 2024 My Wish series we bring you the story of Bradee Vance, a young man from Fort Gay, West Virginia who grew up loving the game of basketball and the Duke Blue Devils. At the age of 13 Bradee was diagnosed with a rare disease that required a live-saving kidney transplant. In dire need of a donor, his aunt Kristy Watts volunteered to give her kidney. After a successful surgery Bradee bounced back and was even able to play basketball again. We surprised him at halftime of one of his games and revealed that his wish to see a Duke-UNC game in Durham had been granted. In Durham, we followed Bradee for two days as he had the opportunity to tour the Blue Devil basketball facility, meet Coach Scheyer and the entire team, and even spent some one-on-one time with the legendary Coach K, all before attending the game. Congrats Bradee!! I have been a Duke fan most of my life and never got to shake Coach K hand. They truly did make your wish come true. Coach Schyer and the Duke team are pure Class for this one.
