Unfortunately, YT algo dictates who's going to succeed or not. Also, a lot of misinformation and bad business management hurt her too. She had a great sendoff (for her hiatus) though which is really awesome. 100k+ viewers not including those from bilibili. Also got like 70k+ subs from this concert.
Unfortunately, I barely watched Kizuna Ai but I have to say, the way she announced her hiatus, etc. just impressed me. I don’t even know how to explain it all I know that it’s hands down the best I’ve ever seen. Hopefully, I can catch one of her streams ^^

Everyone asked themselves, “what’s a virtual TH-camr going to be like?” After all these years, the changes, new things we got, and all the experiences that came forth, it immersed us with new kinds of entertainment and content for lots of people to enjoy. I remember when she got banned by Yt in her early days,must take down several of her videos and try to become more"family friendly"but fail successfully,she rages,she goes into tantrum and swears when got defeated in game,she have no filters showing her emotions, her presence feels so real. feels like, hanging out with a dear friend. I'll be waiting for her come back
She started the entire Vtuber wave and worked her ass off for nearly 6 years. No other Vtuber would exist today without her. She deserves a good long rest after all of this.
Basically, Kizuna Ai-chan will stop her vtuber works for now but she will do anime works. I feel like she's really giving us all her best even in her hiatus. I will miss her live streams but there will be an anime to relinquish our saudade.

Looking back, she made a lot more for me than lots of people I have met, and so listening to her thank us for her career makes me tear up, as she has made a lot for me as well. People might argue about the OG vtubers being Annoying Orange or the JP weather girl or something else. But everyone should know that Kizuna Ai is the reason why Vtubing has become worldwide phenomenon. This is the girl that inspired and became the sole reason of existence of Hololive, VShojo, Nijisanji, Idol and many more. Be it Sora, Suisei, Gura, Ironmouse, Kobo or any big names. Without the first step from Kizuna Ai, none of the big names will exist. Hopeful for her triumphant return in the future.

I remember when I first saw her on my reco during the era where large youtubers had a cultural boom, the era where Pewdiepie vs. T-series existed, the era where Minecraft TH-camrs started producing content other than Minecraft. It was during that era where i first witnessed something that i didn't even realized would be historically significant today. I know I've been looking up to content creators as "heroes" that has had a great influence on society, but ig the phrase "you don't realize you were living in the happiest moment until it becomes a memory" stands true after all.
Only have watched some clips of her and probably only one actual vod of hers. That said, this hits deep, this hits home. Watched a bit of her last live whenever that was, was wondering what it was all about, some of my questions had just been answered though many still are left lingering if not new. Wherever she is, whatever she's doing, wish her the best. Also wish the best for the rest of the team if ever or so. Hope all of them are doing fine if not swell.

Be it Sora, Suisei, Gura, Ironmouse, Kobo or any big names. Without the first step from Kizuna Ai, none of the big names will exist.

Man, fuck, im gonna miss her. I used to watch her and the other ones like Siro or Mirai Akari a lot back in 2016 but then gradually watched less and less. Holo came around and dragged me back again. Its gonna be sad but whenever she decides to come back I'm sure everyone will welcome her warmly.

I remember when I first saw her on my reco during the era where large youtubers had a cultural boom, the era where Pewdiepie vs. T-series existed, the era where Minecraft TH-camrs started producing content other than Minecraft. It was during that era where i first witnessed something that i didn't even realized would be historically significant today. I know I've been looking up to content creators as "heroes" that has had a great influence on society, but ig the phrase "you don't realize you were living in the happiest moment until it becomes a memory" stands true after all.
