@6:00 you definitely right, i stay spending hours creating trees haha. I was wondering if you were to have more control if it were an exr file from Blender, so you can get the depth map and other compositing maps. But the photoshop beta version sure does save so many steps.

Yes, definitely. We usually grab the depth pass from Blender as it is very reliable, but we love trying new tools and thought this one may be an interesting life saver for others!

Is it this way you would present it to the client or would you be sending callout sheets, texture examples, variations and iterations of the building and different color schemes that fit the brief? Just wondering if this is something you would genuinely send to a client or it's for youtube education purpose as I would like to understand the production pipeline better as I would like to be a concept artist in the near future.

That's great to hear you want to be a concept artist! It always depends on the task and what the clients team needs. For example, we often do overviews like this to establish the building architecture and language as it will dictate the design for the rest of the level including props, interiors, etc. Clients may want to do callouts, different color schemes, moods, etc during the process, or after the building architecture is decided. It's a very flexible process so it's not always the same 1, 2, 3 process throughout!
