- They reversed the direction of Track 2 and now you get air when going downhill. It is a blast. I got a time of 36.739, which was the new track record until I broke it in my next race.
Brilliant karting. What is more impressive is the knowledge of your skills and the outlook of making sure the more inexperienced Karter's were safe. Top notch. A gentleman driver.

Thanks! Unfortunately they didn't like the karts getting air, so they have slowed them down since this video. Hope you still have a good time though!

A lot of people who go to Andretti's or K1 Speed DO NOT know how to drive go-karts, ergo, get their karts programmed to a slower or medium speed. Its quite frustrating when someone like myself or you get stuck with a much slower drivers or if someone drives slow intentionally.
Ughhh yea. Getting behind slow karts definitely is frustrating lol. I went to K1 speed and had one of the best lap times of the week.
Unless you're actually in a competition where money is on the line. Just hush up and suck it up have fun no need to complain because you think you're better than others at riding go karts.
Dude was COOKING!!! Nice driving!!! They've replaced the karts since. New ones don't have quite the top end so no more air, but they're better overall I feel like. I think newer track record with the current gen karts are around 39ish seconds. Solid driving, bro!
Dang. 39 second range is so much slower. They slowed the karts even before they got new ones though. I think someone was injured, so they took precautions to prevent it from reoccurring.

Saying on your left or right does not mean they have to let you pass and that you are allowed to bump them. It is kart racing so you have to pick your line, run the race and take the passes as they arise.
Lots of open sessions at indoor places like this are meant to be “time trials’ where you try for a fastest lap. So, slower drivers are supposed to let faster drivers pass
I indicate what side I'm passing on because most people don't pay attention. It isn't my intention to bump anyone. That usually occurs because many novices make unexpected maneuvers (one of the reasons I try to let them know where I am). Additionally, the brakes aren't all that great, so if someone makes an unexpected move as I am coming up on them quickly, there isn't much way for me to keep from hitting them. As you can see in the video, I do my best to avoid contact and remain polite to the other drivers.
I've only done two races ever in my life o.o; but i've gotten a .46 here and felt like i was pushing it, guess i played it too safe going down the hill and that turn at the end there. i couldn't imagine squeezing 11 more seconds outa my best lap.
They have slowed the karts down since this video. I don't think that there is any way to match my old times. You still have some time to knock off, but not that much.
A new one is being built in Near Fort Worth and Weatherford it has the same company that made this track it’s opening on June 25th 2022
we came here for our senior field trip
We have one in DFW opening in March. I really want to go. Seems like the coarses are quite narrow.
Give it a shot, it should be fun. Keep in mind that the San Antonio location took quite a few months before they got their timing and everything else all sorted out.
I work at the DFW/The Colony location. I used to be a track Marshall but now work as a mechanic. And you’re right, the course is very narrow with a lot of tight turns and hairpins and a corkscrew/spiral at the end which is really cool. I never get tired of racing the track!

If you dont mind me asking, Did you ever feel that KART you were driving actually losing power any on the uphill portions of the track, Or did you feel the Kart asctually start to slowly lose power or get slower as the laps went by cause for a Electric Kart, that is one heck of a long Course.,....
I'm around 220-230 lbs, so it does struggle quite a bit on the uphill sections for me, but I get a little more grip on the downhill sections. The bizkarts that they use here seem to maintain a pretty steady charge throughout the session. I've had the issue of losing power at K1, though. The K1 karts often lose a lot of speed before the race is up, even though they have pretty short sessions.

It's based on the fastest lap time, so you may have finished first, but someone else could have put down a faster lap time.
Are those carts tall poeple friendly lol I'm 6"4 and wondering if I'll be able too fit in those
I've seen some tall people run the karts, but it might be best to give them a call to make sure. The pedals and seats are adjustable, but I wonder if your head might be higher than the roll bar.
