*I do believe that Sonic Adventure 2 is still the best storyline in the whole of the Sonic franchise.*
The main problems with this is....
1) Sonic movie 3 is obviously going to be about the events of Sonic Adventure 2 squeezed into roughly 2 hours.
2) Yes, Shadow the Hedgehog & Rouge the Bat debut was in Sonic Adventure 2 so not having Rough may result in a big miss.
3) If Eggman tricks Shadow into hating Sonic and helping him destroy him this will be coming off of the back foot of the second Sonic movie which had the same plot but with Knuckle instead.

I’ve heard confirmation about Amy and Rouge, but these are my predictions;
1. Amy may appear either in the trailer and the movie, an end credits scene, or in Sonic 4.
2. Writer and actor Pat Casey loves Rouge and wants to include her in Sonic 3, but director and animator Jeff Fowler hates her just bcuz of how sexy she looks for family audiences. So Rouge may or may not be in Sonic 3 or any movie or series.

Since the third movie is based off the Sonic Adventure games, I'm gonna guess that both Amy and Rouge will be in it. I think that the fourth movie is gonna be based off the later modern games and include Blaze and Silver but that would probably mean that the movie team would have to fit other characters like Metal Sonic, Cream, and Big somewhere in between. Once again, anything could happen. I'm just speculating.
