The chase for the Ridler has been a long road from JF Launier and his crew from JF Kustoms. With several Great 8 grabs he was always just a bit short from the Ridler cup.
So for the last 5 years, with no sponsors or car owner paying for the build, JF used his own time, money and passion to shape his dream car, a 1964 Buick Riviera into a concept car with a twist.
Taking the best of the 60's from General Motors and Buick, What if Buick had built their own version of the corvette? from the iconic boat tail to the split window rear, Rivision took the Autorama floor by storm.

Congrats JF and crew. The detail, creativity and commitment is incredible. I know the tires will be burned off and the car enjoyed on the asphalt.

It was a gamble 5 years in the making, but JF Kustoms leaves the 2014 Detroit Autorama with the Ridler trophy!

anyone else curious why this is called a 64 riviera when it has the entire rear end of a late 60s-early 70s? would have saved them a ton of time and money had they just gotten a car with that bodystyle already...
