The Max does not have 24 hour battery life. Only the original M4 chip has it according to apples website. The battery life on the M4 max is exactly the same as the M3 max.
yeah and under full load itll not last even an hour. M chips from generation to generation are more performant but also theyre eating a lot more power and generationg more heat.
@ true. The one thing I don’t understand is how low power mode on the M4 Max is less powerful than Low power mode on the M3 Max, yet they have the same battery life in that mode as well.
6:13 there're Power Sockets on International flights (disconnected during take-off & landing), even economy, unless you flew cargo - curious what happened? lol The only difference working at say 40K feet is slightly higher Radiation levels, just a bit but that's not gone impact machine performance, unless the person sitting in front of you suddenly & rapidly reclines their seat and knocks your mbp off the tray (nearly happened to me)
I didn’t plug in because I wanted to test the battery. But doing something like video editing, the battery just won’t last as long as if you’re doing email, web surfing, or watching video content.
6:49 unified memory is an apple marketing bluff , a 32gb will be 32gb regardless if its unified or not , they want ppl to think theyre ram is superior as if you get 64 for just paying for 32 unified
It means it's shared with the GPU. Normally, GPUs have lower video memory than the general memory. The M* chips share the memory, so the GPU (and I guess the neural cores too) can access the full capacity if needed.
Unified memory is a game changer! ALL systems including the GPU now have access to main RAM and no f-cking PCI bus bottleneck. The GPU has access to insanely large textures and data sets up to 64GB or larger.
@ there’s a meme video that an Apple representative is saying that an 8gb is analogue to 16gb on windows If you look up "Apple's 8GB RAM on M3 MacBook Pro is Analogous to 16GB on PCs" on TH-cam you’ll stumble on it That’s what I’m referring to in my comment
If consumers demanded it I'm sure they would cave. Apple has never shipped a laptop with a number pad even going back to the original Mac Portable from 1989. General consensus is most consumers don't use it, prefer bigger functional keyboard space and to have the area users type on aligned with the screen and trackpad. Bluetooth number pad including the page navigation keys and full size T arrow keys is $30.
still no excuse for windows computer to have insanely short lifespan, resell value, and $hiT speakers and microphone, low pixel per inch, low max brightness and burns on oled screen, hard keyboards like tapping the desk, plastic touchpad with loads of friction and chassis, 80 db fans when web surfing, extremely low performance per watt and only 30% cpu power when unpluging....... who need the features you mention if you can't do the basic things well
7:34 haahhaahah im still on intel and sure everything is slagish and it over heats alot but , if i just clean the internals and reapply paste then i should be golden that and replace the battery
Still loving my m1 base MacBook for development and video editing
Man I love the Mac Pro line
I can’t imagine what the M4 Ultra is gonna look like from a power perspective!

With some applications I only get 2-3 hours of battery life. 16" M4 Max, 128 GB... my M3 Max with 64 GB lasted 1.5 hours longer.

Love the Paris to Seattle flex! ✈️
Unfortunately that was a layover! 😅
how does contrast of nanotexture compare to glossy in low light / dim light conditions? comparable or is the glossy still noticeably better?
I have the m3 max model 🔥🔥🔥
Any upgrade to audio since the M1? Great review, thank you 🎉
I don’t think I can hear any audio difference since M1, but it’s the best-sounding laptop for me by far!

Meh. i'd argue that you don't even need a max. the Pro with upgraded CPU / CPU is enough
Thank you for the video
Wearing an Xbox jacket while reviewing an Apple product is too ironic lol
The MacBook is an Xbox too 😂😂
I’ll keep doing it until they’re in the App Store 😂
@@Andru 😂😂
Здоровский сайт вроде, начну пожалуй так же как ты с 30 тысяч, и дальше будем развиваться!

Great way to tell everyone you have no idea what unified memory is.

That is not what Unified Memory means at all, nor is it what Apple explained it as.

Andru, where are you @ 1:48 in where there's a neon Mac face logo on the wall? I need it!!!
That was at Apple’s launch event!
Still no excuse for: insane storage upgrade prices, no touchscreen with pencil support and no numpad for 16" model.
Windows user complaining a MacBook isn't a Windows computer. World's tiniest violin.

numpad and touchscreen on mac XD

@bennieng6552 100% agree with you. This laptop’s GPU in DaVinci Resolve is comparable to an RTX 4070
My! So coool....
Expensive AF!
There’s no way to upgrade after the fact? lol
Ssd upgrades are on the way. People are figuring it out.
You can pay to get your ssd upgraded through a third party but not the ram.
7:34 haahhaahah

You be better off buying a used m1 laptop
