Of all the CRV starter replacement videos; yours is best by far. I like how you narrated over the work instead of trying to talk while you worked. It helped keep it flowing smoothly without a lot of backtracking. I am in the middle of doing my 2006 CRV starter. Its raining so I had to quit for the night. I am using your video as I work. I am a teacher and I find your video A+ in clarity and easy to follow. Your voice is calm and reassuring and presentation simplistic in a way that makes it easy to watch and listen to. Good teaching characteristics.
Thank you Sir. Im happy I could help you out! Really appreciate the feedback also. It’s definitely a little bit of a lengthy job. All the best with it and enjoy! 👍
What brought you to replace the starter? I hear that these are a common failure point on the older crvs. I just got an 06 with ~160k on it and it does start rough sometimes.
When i went to start the car it sounded like the teeth weren't connecting the greatest to the flexplate so i figured maybe the starter was worn a bit. just went ahead and did the starter because the other option is well more expensive. Better to get to it sooner then later so i did. weve also gotta remember that parts fail especially on older cars you've got to except maintenance. Hope yours goes well takes time and gotta be gentle.
My starter was weak. It sounded just like a weak battery when I started it. After replacing the battery, it kept doing it. The starter finally died completely and left me stranded.
gonna have to do this to my '02 soon. thanks for the vid
