A very good explanation of ERP. As a former OCD sufferer turned OCD therapist, I absolutely agree that this is the best way forward to help you manage OCD.

I was wishing there where certified BBC lasses because we need more ERP based therapies.
My sons had two people stop suddenly or change jobs and it is unethical and makes him regress.

Then you're Evel Knievel :D Also really good point about how at the beginning of ERP things generally get worse, well said and very true but it's still totally worth continuing on with

How would ERP work for people with somatic OCD or hyperawareness OCD who don't necessarily have outward compulsions?

The thing is I started ERP by exposing myself to a few level 10 exposures, by doing this the exposure became a big obsession. What would you recommend me doing at this point ?

will erp work for ocd that was caused by traumatic experience?
duh? imagine exposing a victim of whatever abuse to their root cause 🙈 dang, it's same as just throwing them into the abyss again and again and again

How do you expose yourself into handling the death and loss of a loved one? That’s not something you can just “practice “
