My favorite day in life ever was hiking with my friend in JT. We stayed in a 1950s air bnb travel trailer. .
Did you each a Hippie Lunch at the Natrual Sisters luncheonette just outside the park
And did you and the dogs hike Ryans Pass Trail? It was so windy at the top!
I get happy just thinking of that day

Sounds like you had a wonderful time there 💕 I didn't know about the Natural Sisters place, but I looked it up and it says it's permanently closed 🫤 When I explored the park, I was in Roameo, so I was limited by where I could park him. But, we did some cool places like Skull Rock, Hidden Valley, and (my FAVORITE) ❤️ Heart Rock!!

Wow! The Joshua Tree history is very interesting. I have a "Yucca" (?) plant in my yard. It looks extremely similar, with variegated blade/foliage as well. The rhizome is above ground, quite a bit. Odd in TN. 😂 Great video...🕊

That area around the park and Palm Springs if really beautiful. Take the Tram Ride to the top of mountain for a great view of the San Andreas Fault.

Yeah! Growing up in Los Angeles, my family used to visit Palm Springs all the time. I especially liked taking the tram ride when there was snow up there ❄️😁👍🏻❄️

Another name for yucca is "soap tree" because soap can be made from it's roots.

You know I'm a worry wart 😜 Current rules/law says you can only post videos of national parks for commercial use if you apply for, and are granted, a permit. They say even small creators on TH-cam included??!! It can cost a couple hundred $$ to get a permit!! So, it's not affordable for me AND I don't want to risk being made an example of.😉

@@RoamTownGirl dam government, they are actually our parks, we pay for them.

I know! The rule used to only apply to film crews and the like...but then they decided.to include us social media folks too. Ridiculous!! We're often a single person (or maybe a couple) using our phones or goPros and maybe a tripod. No comparison!!
