This was Austin Theory doing his trainer's finisher. He probably does know how to do it. The issue is that when AR Fox does it, he makes sure to get as much bounce off the top rope as possible. Here, Theory ended up sitting on the top rope which killed all the possible momentum he'd have.

@@WaywardBriganddoes that not prove the point?

@@TihetrisWeathersby actually no it doesn't. It's well known that WWE ropes have a different tension than other companies.
Also, knowing how to do it doesn't mean you're good at it.

Theory took the worst I believe because if you slow it down his head hit that mat and he could’ve gotten a stinger.

I love this channel. Stevie Richards is the wrestling version of Jim Garrison from "JFK".

I know this probably isn't the place, but in depth perspective on the best flying elbow drops (Macho, Shawn, etc.) and analysis.

Btw I’d love you to analyze Finn Balor’s double foot stomp Coup de gras move. It looks incredibly painful to have him land on someone’s body feet first and I’m always wondering what he does to prevent injury to his own ankles/knees and what he does to protect his opponent

Bend the knees on impact with forward motion, won't hurt much at all. If you watch his feet when they land they're always 'sliding', with most of the downward force on his own rear end. On the odd occasion he overdoes the move he forward rolls through it for the same effect, only the weight moving forward instead of back.

It was a good intense match though besides a couple of botches.

Ugly is right. Did either of these guys get injured? If not, it's a miracle.

Imagine watching 2 people end up paralyzed. Watching reckless performers isnt entertaining. Wonder how many more bozos will try to recreate this. Besides these 2 of course
