It was the genre that introduced me to the world of Electronic music and through which I have discovered so many wonderful artists and become part of such a great community. Ultimately it's what got me to create the channel. Genres evolve throughout their lifetime and that is what I tried to capture when I started putting together this compilation. Ten of my favourite 'older' drum & bass tracks are featured in this mix, music that I can always go back to again and again because for me it's timeless. The other 10 tracks are from 'newer' artists who have been part of that change in style over the years. This mix/compilation is about contrasting new and old, hearing drum & bass evolve and how the current artists have borrowed from the past. I'm 21. I live in Oregon. I have been subscribed to Sheepy for over 3 years now. I listen to metal, punk, alternative rock, pop, rap, anything but country, etc.. but i always find myself back on one of Sheepy's channels, completely enjoying myself. Ive never considered myself a fan of D&B.. i enjoy it on occasion, but prefer the chillstep and lovetrap. This mix however, is Amazing. I've opened the windows of my bedroom, its like 62 degrees and sunny outside with a cool breeze. I went for a run earlier and now Im about to start chapter 5 of my book. Im writing a novel since i don't know the faintest about producing music. And right now, Life is good. I hope everyone else here is having as good a day as i am. Liquid drum & bass used to be so big and over the last couple years has been slowly dying out but I think we need more classic liquid dnb and dubstep songs like we used to get!
I think liquid is pretty strong at the moment. Check out the upcoming track 'LSB - The View' and you'll see it's getting bigger and more innovative than ever!
Liquids not dying, its just a bit more... insular. Same with any mature genre, the different styles start to break off and have their own communities and scenes. I think DnB has been making a big comeback, overall, its just not all liquid.
Same. A lot has changed. Still didn’t find my way. But this mix gives me the feeling that I’m not lost whatsoever. At home in the uncertainty. The music is still the same and it’s still just as enjoyable as years ago. Will probably keep coming back here for many years ahead.
I've always distinguished Sheepy's uploads as the really "special" ones that have this above-the-norm quality to them. The kind of music that leaves the mark of this "personal" touch. I never thought it was possible to express that sort of music-to-mind connection and allow other viewers to relive your experiences, but this mix channels it all with sheer excellence. This has got to be easily, easily the best drum and bass I've ever heard. I used to not like it all that much, but I've warmed up to it, and this mix now allows me to look at it under a new light. Respect, man. This is amazing.

I'm happy to say that it was Sheepy's mixes that got me into drum and bass (largely through the introduction of LE) about two and half years ago. I have drifted away from it recently, but it will remain a genre that shaped my teenage years and I relish the ability to return to this channel and still enjoy new mixes.
