Galeries Lafayette’s theme for Christmas 2023 is by Charles de Vilmorin telling the tale of the little girl, her magic paintbrush and all the wonderful characters they meet in their adventures. Printemps’ has a paper Christmas theme for 2023 telling a Christmas tale featuring thousands of letters and messages that come to life, along with winged envoys and their glittering paper feathers, lighting up the festive holiday windows.

The lively Christmas windows of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette are part of life in Paris.
I preferred the Spring ones, because the Charles de Villemorin figurines would end up giving me nightmares!!.
Those of Spring with all these birds are more pleasant for children's eyes and mine!!.
I found Fortnum and Mason's peacock there!!
And also the wooden gallery-platform where the children climbed when there was a crowd to admire an entire window.
When I was a kid, we had a piece of rock candy on the way down; it was after the War of 39-40.

The aviaries of Printemps 🥰😍🥰. So unusual, whimsical and beautiful. They’ve outdone themselves. The Cranes with bundles are perhaps my favorite.
