Cumalıkızık a fost inclus împreună cu orașul Bursa în lista patrimoniului mondial UNESCO în 2014.
Textura istorică bogată a orașului care i-a asigurat înscrierea pe Lista Patrimoniului Mondial poartă urmele perioadei care se întinde de la un stat Anatolian la un Imperiu mondial. Clădirile, construite în perioada existenței Imperiului Otoman de aproximativ 700 de ani, îi călăuzesc pe vizitatori într-o călătorie în timp.
Această regiune este importantă deoarece a fost martoră a întemeierii Imperiului Otoman…
Cumalıkızık este un sat, care aparține de Bursa , Turcia. Aflat la 13 km de centrul orașului Bursa, satul Cumalıkızık, situat la poalele muntelui Uludag, și-a păstrat atât textura istorică, cât și stilul tradițional de viață. Cu casele originale care reflectă stilul arhitectural otoman din prima perioadă, străzile pavate cu piatră și construcțiile monumentale satul este într-adevăr un muzeu în aer liber. Casele din chirpici, pereții de diferite culori, fântânile ne smulg din prezent și ne duc în trecut. Din această cauză, Cumalıkızık a devenit un centru popular, dar încă nealterat pentru turiști.
Muzeul de etnografie Cumalıkızık din piața satului prezintă obiecte istorice din sat. În fiecare iunie are loc un festival al zmeurii. Celebrele case Cumalıkızık sunt făcute din lemn, chirpici și pietre de moloz. Cele mai multe dintre ele sunt case triplex. Ferestrele de la etaj sunt în general cu zăbrele și cu bovindou. Mânerele și ciocanele de pe ușile principale de intrare sunt din fier forjat. Străzile pietruite sunt foarte înguste, fără trotuare, dar un jgheab tipic medieval în centru pentru ploaie și apă uzată.

Cumalıkızık is a village, which belongs to Bursa, Turkey. Located 13 km from the center of Bursa, Cumalıkızık Village, located at the foot of Uludag Mountain, has preserved both its historical texture and traditional lifestyle. With original houses reflecting the early Ottoman architectural style, cobbled streets and monumental constructions, the village is truly an open-air museum. The adobe houses, the walls of different colors, the fountains pull us out of the present and take us to the past. Because of this, Cumalıkızık has become a popular but still unspoiled center for tourists.
The Cumalıkızık Museum of Ethnography in the village square displays historical objects from the village. Every June there is a raspberry festival. The famous Cumalıkızık houses are made of wood, adobe and rubble stones. Most of them are triplex houses. The upper floor windows are generally latticed and bay windowed. The handles and knockers on the main entrance doors are wrought iron. The cobbled streets are very narrow with no sidewalks, but a typical medieval gutter in the center for rain and waste water.
