Crissy Field, a former Army airfield, is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, operated by National Park Services. With its scenic Promenade Trail, Crissy Field is a San Francisco gem for all kinds of activities: jogging, cycling, dog-walking, kite flying...and most importantly, just viewing the most iconic bridge in the world, the GOLDEN GATE. A 2 mile walk on the SF Bay Trail from Crissy Field Beach toward the east, you can visit the one and only WAVE ORGAN, a wave-activated sound sculpture built by the Exploratorium.
