I saw kk’s priest do two shows on the monsters of rock this week , they were fkn incredible , and Iv seen Judas Priest do lots of shows the last 6-7 years, priest had a bigger production , Rob riding Harley onstage, blow up bull onstage , etc ,but musically kk’s priest put on a better show , just my opinion before all the fanboys try to attack me in the comments
Ralph, all I can say is your review is pretty much verbatim to mine. At least what I am describing to friends about the show we witnessed on 3/12/24 at Ram's Head Live, Baltimore MD. One of the best shows I have seen in some time. My brother and I watched Priest with Ripper at D.C 's 9:30 Club when he first joined. I believe he actually sounded better this past Tuesday. My brother and I, having been fans of Judas Priest since Sad Wings Of Destiny. The litanous test for us was how Tim performed two Priest epics. When he nailed Victim of Changes and Beyond The Realms Of Death, we said yep, he's accepted...lol! He crushed those Fulkerson Tuesday night. And everything else for that matter. Smack em' a Gob🤘🎸🎤🥁🤘
Same 14 songs every show. KK is expected to do his solos. Ripper is expected to hit high notes. A J. Mills could easily do Glenn's parts but not much of a setlist compared to 2018. The best part about the show that is hardly ever mentioned which was Sean Elg. The sound was great and his double bass was massive almost made up for the setlist. Obviously LA Guns paid KK well and KK was probably getting a good chunk of the alcohol sales and setlist was geared towards those that like to drink alot. Allowing Burning Witches to do a Meet and Greet was the best thing that KK (or his Napoleon-complex tour manager) allowed. Best time ever getting to hangout with the Burning Witches before the show and during LA Guns and they even came down the aisle to watch KKsPriest but I guess get in trouble for that so they didn't stay long with the exception of Jay but everyone likes her.
@@mr.brenman2132 Yea, if you made me pick sides I'd go with KK. If they reunited and did a proper record/tour I'd certainly support it. As much band drama as they have now I'd wager that they are all ghey except for Ian Hill, but he's only the bass player so WHO CARES! lol...Ahh to be rich and queer!
Hey Dr Fukk- great review! I saw this band on their debut gig in Wolverhampton last July and that was the best gig of the 50 or so I’ve seen since the ‘80s. Agree with your name for the other babe “Halford band featuring Ian Hill” - if you don’t have at least half of the legendary guitar duo of Tipton/Downing then you ‘ain’t Priest! I’m not going to bother with Invincible Shite - as far as I’m concerned the Priest Discography goes: Firepower, Sermons, The sinner rides and then the next KK’s Priest. KK rules !
L.A. Guns has NO business being sandwiched between those 2 bands, LOL. It's out of their glam zone...I'm surprised Tracii signed up for it. To me, it shows he has a lot of respect for KK. For the record, I like all 3 bands & I KNOW there was some energy lost when Burning Witches left & L.A. Guns came on. What is up with Phil these days? Looks like a steampunk pirate. I highly doubt this tour will reach California. Unfortunate.
That singer looks kinda hot...oh I mean the Burning witches one...😐... sounds like a fun show...but did LA Guns really close with "The ballad of Jane" ? Strange closing song for the set ...
Playing with two heavier bands I woulda thought they would not play the ballad of Jayne and thrown in something like no mercy , I asked Michael Wilton of queensryche if they were gonna do silent lucidity on the megacruise and he said no they would drop that song from the set list because it was a cruise with heavier bands and the song wouldn’t go over as well , something to that extent he said
I agree with you on Cathedral Spires. That would be great to hear that live.
Ripper came to Argentina last November. It was an incredible show! I also had it in front of me. What an awesome experience. A night of pure Metal.
Kenneth Downing’s Priest
LA Guns are the dictionary definition of working band
Amazing ! i was there too !
It is great to see KK back in the game.
Thanks for the review! Seeing the tour in a couple nights in Balto.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the concert review. Seeing the show on Saturday.
Great review
I'm gonna be so bummed if KK doesn't play Texas!! I'd LOVE to see one of the original guitar players from Priest

All I can say is kk downing is a killer guitarist with killer ass initials👍
Great stuff!
Thanks!
RIPPERS voice is AMAZING!
😢 I went to more concerts, then I can remember, but I never got to see priest, or Alice Cooper 😔
Alice Cooper is still amazing. Went with my mom last summer who hadn’t seen him since 1971!
Didn't miss much there. It was during the daytime. AC Stage show was stripped down and 'Priest basically did a radio friendly set.
There was a tour I remember it was Motorhead, Alice Cooper and Judas Priest, what a great show.
Rafalito Saxon gonna be at the Parker April 23 2024
Buena reseña amigo.
Faltó sermones del pecador o no la tocaron??

5:09 I was assuming that KK Priest was a Judas Priest tribute band with 2 ex band members until last night
Seeing them in 2 weeks
So how does KK’s Priest albums compare to Invincible Shield?
Seeing this show in NJ soon. Smallish venue as well
I found Night Crawler from the other night up on TH-cam Ralph, you might see the back of your head in it 😁🤘
Very cool
Oscarito is Back!!!!
who?

I myself will be seeing Saxon and Uriah Heep. On the 5th of May they're coming to Boston, MA!
In am seeing them in April
@@almosthuman56 Will you do a concert review on the show?
Why the fawk is KK not in JP if he is able to play? This whole revolving door of players is only getting worse. KK's Priest. Whatever dude...
Glen doesn't want him in the band and I think the rest of the members like their bigger paychecks since they don't have to pay K.K.
K.K.'s Priest rules btw.

@@retarteddwarf2182Richie’s married to George lunch’s daughter dunno about Scott
There is an article.. Priest did not want him back. 🤷♀️
Sold out just because it was a smaller venue.
See them 2x in may. And Ralph, what sounds more like old JP, KK´s Priest or new JP? The answer is easy for me.

I thought you were talking about an all male band at first lol!
It would have been ok if you were! Lol!
@@newavatar2947 no way bro ! 😂
