I feel like Revolution is the brand that is all about listening to the people. If someone wants to do a banger collection of excellent quality, they go for it and many influencers (including you, as I have and honestly love your second palette), have great collaborations, but when someone has the approach of “I want to make as much as I can on this”, they also make it happen, at the cost of the quality, sadly.
I totally agree with everything you said about the colours! These collabs are a great opportunity to do something different and fun and I feel like they missed the mark a bit. I felt the same with the Friends collab, especially Phoebe's pallet. It should have been bright and crazy like she was, I was dying for a shade like her orange coat!
Same! I am really not impressed with Revolution's themed pallets. Tim Burton used such a thought through colour scheme in his films and in Nightmare before Christmas and they could have used that to influence this pallet. And the Friends colours just had no relation to the series in anyway.
I always struggle to gauge shades I’ll like or that will suit me just from seeing them online, so love that you compared them to your own highlight palette, really helps!

Have you tried your fingers? Especially when it comes to shimmers, I've noticed that I just can't get colors to stick to my eyelid with a brush. I've got dodgy skin on my lids too!
The max factor miracle second skin hybrid foundation is so good! So thin and smells so good and has skin care ingredients such as probiotics in (I think cause of the coconut milk) I love it!

I got the jack palette, jack and sally glosses and the makeup bag and Im NEVER getting rid of it ever! The Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite movie and I actually watched it today!
This is one of my favorite movies ever! I was so excited when I seen this collection! I got lucky, so lucky and my husband ordered me both eyeshadow palettes! (Which is what I wanted from the collection!) He got mine from ultas website and I've already got them both and they are both GORGEOUS!!!! (I'm in the US) but I just checked and the palettes aren't on their site at all now. But ultas site does have a couple of the makeup bags, some of the glosses, and did even have one of the highlights. For anyone that's wanting those things. That was earlier today, not sure about now.
To stop a lip gloss from being sticky i put lip balm on first. Idk why it works but for me it does. I love Nightmare Before Christmas, thank you for reviewing 🙋♀️
