Great video! What kind of top and mid speeds are you getting with that exact setup and what battery are you running ? Does it last all day?.. looking to add the same setup onto my PA12360… wondering if the bow gets weighted down too much in chop too
My top end speed is about 4.7mph. I’m using a Bioenno lithium 80AH battery. It’s lasts me all day. 100AH would give you a little more range but I haven’t drained my battery yet. The bow still handles fine in the chop. With the motor running, it kind of lifts the bow out of the water so it doesn’t sit so low.
@@Generalneves007 debating other options like bixby or NK180s for lighter weight but would still have to take on and off boat for transport… the Texas power paddle built into rudder is sweet and no dissemble for transport but it’s like 1900$ with battery! Lol at that point it seems like the bow mount is way more versatile just with added weight and bulk. I figure I would add spot lock if I was going to do it but now I’m like why did I spend so much money on the 360 drive yak because I feel like I would never use pedal drive id I had xi3… decisions.. lol

@@federicoreveles8716 No I haven't. The Boonedox landing gear hasn't caused any problems and I always store my kayak on the hobie cradle.
@@Generalneves007 I have a pa360 14 . I put my kyack in the water and it wanted to flip on me. Hobie says I need to leave it in the sun. It will go back to normal.
@@federicoreveles8716 that sounds like a really major issue. How are you storing the kayak when you don't use it?
@@Generalneves007 on saw horse’s with cushions. Right now I have it on the ground. Hobie told me to leave it on the ground
How'd you get those wheels on there?
The wheels are part of the boonedox landing gear. After you put the kayak in the water, you just move the position of the wheels so they are stored out of the water. www.boonedoxusa.com/product-page/groovy-landing-gear-standard-kit
