  • Here we have a 1975-ish non reverb AC30.
First, I'm pretty much fully rebuilding the output stage with new components, valve sockets and wiring, then I'm going to come up with a good grounding and power node wiring scheme to make use of the modern dual-section capacitors, rather than the obsolete triple-section capacitors originally used in this model.
Then I'll restore the trem/vibe channel to it's original configuration, replace all of the pots and input jacks, then assess everything else to see what needs attention.
After that, I'll move on to the cabinet restoration.

Hey Bard, thanks a million, watched both videos, I am getting my AC30 (same model) serviced now after about 15 years in storage... great to brush my knowledge up on the circuit before going taking to my tech!!! Thanks again!!!

Hey dude, looks like the amp that a friend gave me to repair it. It's hard to figure out what kind of ceramic resistor they put in there back in the days. You went for 22 ohms and the other one is a 100 ohms. What happens if you change those for other values? Cause instead of 100 ohms there is a 47 ohms resistor in the one I have that is right before the tubes. And I'm not sure if 22 ohms is right before the diodes and the power transformer. Any suggestions how I can figure out what's supposed to be in there?

I am recapping a 75 dallas ac30 right now. It had a bunch of odd values and weird work in there. Question, did you have a legible schematic for the values of this era?
