Hi Tim, Thx for this video, however I do not understand how to use the focus picking with RF mount in the EOS R. I have bought this lens but i do not get it how to use the focus picking with my camera
When I ordered the lens, the lens collar was an added purchase. So, you would find it if and when you order the lens. I seem to recall it was about $30.
Thank you for this video. I've owned this lens for a while now and it's excellent, but not super easy to get quick shots with. Especially at 2:1 I find it extremely difficult to get any depth of field for insects (much less flowers) even at F22, and of course when stopped down, we a ton of light too. For me I think to get the most out of this lens, I'll need to start using focus stacking. Which I have no idea how that would work outside, handheld without a tripod. Also, I haven't seen anyone else use the lens tripod bracket before. When I got my bracket with the lens, I thought they send me the wrong one because it didn't fit at the base of the lens (like the tripod mount on the Canon 72-200L). I was disappointed to find that it mounts in the middle of the lens and covers the aperture and focal readout. Who's brilliant idea was that!? Anyway, looking forward to the next video.. Happy shooting! :-)
thank you for the video

Great and informative video. This video answered the questions I raised in the other TH-cam presentation on the same lens outdoor review. Thanks.

love the "bla bla bla lanse" name!
😅
I bought the EF version and use it with my R5 and an adapter to RF mount. A better solution than the manual aperture RF in my opinion.
I would agree that’s probably a better option. :)

Great question! Check out this video. Focus Peaking is around the 55 second mark. th-cam.com/video/VroBOF1B6jE/w-d-xo.html
