To be clear, Jenny died of AIDS. Considering this film flew threw the 50's, 60's, 70's unto the 80's, doctors at the time had no clue about HIV/AIDS, so that's what got Jenny. Due to the dirty narcotics, she was also with many guys, one of them had to infect her.
This was probably one of the best movies of all time. Even when I watched it a dozen times, I still tear up at the end when he loses Jenny. I’m happy you enjoyed this movie!
@@RussianReactionReviews Try reacting to The Green Mile if you have not already. Also One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest from 1975 with Jack Nicholson. Two very good movies.

I think most of us appreciate a content creator that doesnt front like they are above the rest of us and the way you freely show emotions instead of exploiting them is really awesome. Another great video champ, keep it up.
You are the first person out of a lot of reaction videos, who actually understands Jenny's severe problem with men resulting from her dad. The scene where he asks her if little Forrest is smart or like him, just about kills me. This can be a difficult movie to watch but is extremely loved by 99% who see it. Much love from the US.
This movie gives me so many feelings. I absolutely loved it and I still love it!❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for your understanding of this film🙏🏽❤️ Beautiful reaction. Genuine emotion 🥺😢❤️
27 years later, and this movie is still a masterpiece. Tom Hanks and Gary Sinise always worked so well together. They also both starred in Apollo 13 in 1995, which is a great movie based on true events. There's just something about the 90's having a lot of great movies. Not sure if it's childhood nostalgia, or if Hollywood was just in the zone during that decade, but 1994's The Crow is still my favorite movie. Dark, tragic, romantic, funny, action, science fiction, and drama all in one movie with an absolute killer soundtrack that opened up whole new worlds of music to pre-teen me who had no business watching that movie that young lol.
"I got to find Bubba!!!". A great movie. The statement you made at the end was perceptive. Life can be messed up pretty bad sometimes. None the less a special person who really cared about her was right in Alabama the whole time. It is a powerful lesson.
OCS is Officer Candidate School, where officers are trained in the basics, in order to become a Second Lieutenant (the lowest of the commissioned officer ranks) The medal he was awarded is the Congressional Medal of Honor, the highest military award in the USA, given only for "conspicuous gallantry above and beyond the call of duty". It is awarded by the Congress, and is presented by the President. The CMH is similar to the "Hero of the Soviet Union" medal given by the USSR back in the old days. I hope this helps, Beautiful!
I cried to Irina. I can't tell you how many times I saw this movie growing up. But the scene when Forrest finds out he's a daddy hits me so much harder after I became a father. That fear he expresses about whether or not little Forrest is smart or "like him," gets me every time. I relate to that moment sooo much more now as a father.

So much happens in such a short amount of time in this movie. Another Tom Hanks movie I would recommend is “Saving Private Ryan”. It’s probably one of the best war movies out there. However, it is a very brutal, and emotionally charged movie. The film is so good though so I have to recommend it. You may have to make a part one and part two though. Many people hate Jenny for what she did to Forrest, but people need to understand the past trauma that made Jenny like this. Basically, Jenny was sexually and physically abused since she was a toddler, and *NOBODY* was there to put a stop to it. As a result, Jenny's mind was brainwashed and deluded and made her believe that she can handle the abuse no matter what and that she doesn't need help. That's why she rejected Forrest's help and intervention whenever she was assaulted or harrassed, why she never answered the letters that Forrest wrote to her while he was in Vietnam, and why she ran away from Forrest several times, becuase she believes she doesn't deserve love or help at all. She never learned to love, value, or respect herself, so instead of loving herself or Forrest, all she ever learned was to love those who abuse her, take advantage of her, or manipulate her. She also believes that she's not Forrest's type and she was only doing all of that for Forrest's sake. She told Forrest that he didn't know what love is, when in actuality, she's the one who didn't know what love is. Instead of accepting sweet and real love like Forrest's, all she accepted was hard love from her father and boyfriends. It was basically that the more Jenny hangs out with Forrest and adapts to his optimism and sweetness unlike her previous boyfriends, the more it takes for her to think about the past actions and selfishness towards Forrest all caused by her low self-esteem and trauma. It also took big red flags for her to realize her past actions, especially when she realized that she has an incurable sexually-transmitted disease and she has a son with Forrest that kind of made her a changed and more responsible person. But sadly, in this world we live in, it's a real thing that can actually happen to anyone, especially an innocent, defenseless toddler. Families and homes, similar to what Jenny grew up with, still exist today. :(
Jenny was sympathetic. But she absolutely used Forrest and it’s messed up that she didn’t tell Forrest that he has a son until he was like 5 years old and she was sick and she knew he was rich. Not cool
This is absolutely one of greatest and most wonderful movies of all time. I can still remember watching it the first time for almost 30 years ago, amazing
Heh irina. As a Russian guy who grew up in the Bryansk villages I’m not supposed to ever cry. I balled. I balled hard. And I’m glad I shared this experience with you.
Another great reaction. I think Jenny didn’t think she was worth to be loved. And that she knew how pure forest was so she didn’t want to destroy him. When she said he doesn’t know what love is, she was the one that didn’t know love until she had little forest
I’ve watched Forrest Gump probably at least 8 times, and I’ve watched a couple reactions to it. I can get through the movie just fine, except for one part. When he meets his son, and Forrests first question, above all other questions he could’ve asked, is: “is he smart, or is he like me” and that line genuinely hurts. It puts a knot in my throat and gets my chest all tight, usually gets a couple good tears. I’ve watched a lot of movies, and rewatched a lot of movies, I can’t think of a single line of dialogue that compares to that line I spoke of. Nothing in anything else I’ve watched made me feel the pain I felt when he asked that question as his very first concern. That’s pain.
Another movie you should look in to is "Its a Wonderful Life", it is an American classic movie we watch at Christmas time. One man does make a difference.
This was one of the few DVDs my dad had so my sister and I would watch it like every night before bed when I was a kid. Despite how much nostalgia I have for this movie, there's a funny story about how much the writer of the book this is based on hated it. He wrote a second book and made it so crazy and stupid that they'd never make a movie out of it. Like, Forrest going to space and fighting in a war with a chimpanzee sidekick kinda crazy. And the funniest part is, Forrest opens the book with "Don't ever let no one make a movie about your life."
Thanks for you reaction to the movie. From your reactions, it seems you have a kind heart. Since you asked for recommendations to movies in the comments, I think you would enjoy reacting to "The blind side" (if you have not watched it yet). I believe it's the kind of movie for a kind heart like yours.
First off, gotta say very good movie request, It´s one of my fav movies also (Tom Hanks, delivers in pretty much in all his movies) but it has a whole lot of historical references that most young people outside the US and perhaps even in the US won't get resulting in some people that I know, disliking the movie, cause they don´t get those references and get frustrated. Aside from that, the story is pretty much straightforward, a life lesson, a mother's unconditional love, that no matter the odds, no matter your handicap, if you have the heart there´s nothing you can´t reach. Btw .. loved your Frenchie snoring, kinda reminded me of my late bulldog that died last year, sure do miss that smelly little demon.
@@RussianReactionReviewsthank you for replying.. you should check out the movie "that thing you do". It was written and directed by Tom hanks and he is in the movie too
I’m not an emotional person with the movies, but I cried also I think two parts in this movie. One when Bubba died and MORE when Jenny runs across the lake you should’ve let that play out in full
Easily in my Top 10 of fave films of all time - a miracle of a film. The only time Forrest questions his intelligence is in fear that his son is like him in that respect - Niagara Falls (surprised you managed to not cry there but in the next moment when Jenny dies oh yeah the tears come again ; when the birds fly away as if ushering her soul to Heaven - kills me every time). For Jenny always running away she always came home to Forrest - her constant in life - and the fact she gives him the best advice for being in Vietnam - to run away :D Hugs to you xoxo
This movie was very difficult, I had my Jenny her name was Nicole and she is still the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, but life took her to horrible places and she's gone!!!!!!! Your reaction was beautiful, thanks for that!!!
Thanks for sharing your experience, Irina! To me this movie is truly unique, I don't know any movie to compare it with and I think it is the ultimate bitterweet movie. I see Forest as the feather, picked up by the wind. To me the power of the film - amongst others - lies in the relativating tone of the dramatic events (like "he was always kissing and touching her and her sisters"). Scenes that really stood out to me are of course the meeting with his son - "is he ..... smart , or ....." - and the rockthrwowing scene - "I guess sometimes there just aren't enough rocks". Thanks again, till a next time and warm regards from the Netherlands!
Irina, you must watch the full version of this movie. You tube chopped it all up and edited out most of the interesting parts. You will surely like it more in it's full version!
I was in a camp in Utah when I was 17 for being a bad boy. Guess who was also in my group, Tom Hanks’ son, Chet. Definitely a memory I won’t forget lol
A real tear jerker , definitely can relate in ways . May need to watch a few comedy movies to help clear the energy from this movie . Try dirty grandpa 😂
Great reaction! just found your channel, another great movie you should react to with Tom Hanks is The Green Mile, react to Leon the professional, ( the directors cut ) and V for Vendetta, both with Natalie Portman!
All great suggestions Don. I own "Leon" & "V for Vandetta" and Natalie Portman is great in both. Irina, you should enjoy seeing her growth as an actress starting at age 12 in "Leon" and in her twenties in "V".
That feather is a metaphor used in the movie , that we can’t control life and where it leads , when truly that life is a uncontrollable path that’s part of love ,pain ,loss, happiness ,depression etc . Like we can’t control a feather in the air, it has its own path
When Forrest Stands over her grave and talks to her at the end it gets me every time. And I think I can hear your dog breathing in the background so cute 😂
I tear up because of Jenny. Abused children think they don't deserve better and keep making the same choices. Forrest would do anything for her and she knows it. She just couldn't accept she was worthy of decent behavior. My question about her marrying Forrest is would she have done it if she wasn't going to die? I don't think so. Great coverage of a period of history? Excellent characters and outstanding music. I think this is wonderful love story and even with Forrest being able to cope, he deserved a better life.
Tonight I watched you with the movie Saving Private Ryan. Right after that I watched you with Florence Gump. I'm going to subscribe to your channel. When I was watching Saving Private Ryan, I remembered thoughts of my dad. He was in boot camp, training to go on the front lines in World War II. During his training his shoulder got dislocated, and they gave him a medical discharge and he was sent back home. His platoon of all the men he trained with, went to war and every one of them were killed. My Lord God saved my father's life. And because of that he married and had three children. I'm proud of my dad. Bless his soul. Mom and dad are now with the Lord. My heart goes out to all of the people who served in the war. Thank you all for your service to set us free. 😢🙏 When I was watching Florence Gump with you it reminded me of a love that I once had... We had moved from Arizona to Wisconsin, just out of the blue she was gone. 2 years later after that she filed for a divorce and married someone else. My heart was broken. I almost committed suicide twice.I was a nervous wreck. I had no family or friends around. I was all by myself. I've been alone now for many years. Thank you for the reactions to these movies. You've got a kind and a sweet heart. I really liked your reactions. I'm sorry for making this so long. Thank you. 😊

Jonathan, such an amazing breakdown of Jenny. I really enjoyed reading it, it helped provide some more insight and perspective
@@RussianReactionReviews Absolutely Irina! I enjoy watching your channel. :)🤗☺😚😘❤💖🤘
Thank you Jonathan 🙌🏻
Jenny was sympathetic. But she absolutely used Forrest and it’s messed up that she didn’t tell Forrest that he has a son until he was like 5 years old and she was sick and she knew he was rich. Not cool
Agreed she’s a b word
This movie has all emotions in it
Your tears tell me you have a wonderful love in your heart for people. I always love your reactions. Thank you for being so nice.
Thank you for watching with me Dennis
This is absolutely one of greatest and most wonderful movies of all time. I can still remember watching it the first time for almost 30 years ago, amazing
I could hear your dog snoring... it was cute. :)
I may have shed a tear or two with you Irina. Great reaction!! And a great movie.
Thanks Jason comstock ❤️
That was a great Reaction. Thumbs up 👍Irina.
Glad you enjoyed it. thank you for watching with me
You are one of my favorite videographers.
Great reaction, so pure :)
Thank you!! 😁
"Я был миллионером, поэтому косил газоны бесплатно." (с) Форрест Гамп.)
You are a beautiful woman Irina. Whether laughing or crying, you are heart stoppingly beautiful. A delight for the eyes and the soul. Warm hugs.
One of the best movies ever. 😁✌️😍
I always heard that,,, now finally got the opportunity to watch it
Heh irina. As a Russian guy who grew up in the Bryansk villages I’m not supposed to ever cry. I balled. I balled hard. And I’m glad I shared this experience with you.
Alexey, thank you so much for watching with me,, sometimes you need a good cry.. I appreciate it.. next movie will be more action I promise
Another great reaction. I think Jenny didn’t think she was worth to be loved. And that she knew how pure forest was so she didn’t want to destroy him. When she said he doesn’t know what love is, she was the one that didn’t know love until she had little forest
You have some one in your family who snores loud 😴, sounds like me when I'm sleeping.😂😂😂
I appreciate you watching with me Robert
u are a sweetheart....a lot of substance in this one.....all through history...great movie
Great review, I cry every time I watch this movie.
thank you so much
I saw this masterpiece in the cinema 1994. Soooo great
Another movie you should look in to is "Its a Wonderful Life", it is an American classic movie we watch at Christmas time. One man does make a difference.
Agree 100%. With Christmas coming it would be a perfect choice. Love your reactions Irina. Always sincere and heartfelt.
Dear.. I should watch em all again.. Thanks for sharing mis rush..
❤️
Instant heart break when Irina started crying over Jennie's death. lol I felt that.
Awe ty Tim
@@RussianReactionReviews my male instinct to hug you kicked in 🤣
Awe ty it’s appreciative 😀
It was fun watching you turn into a sobbing mess, it happens to me everytime I've watched. And I've seen it dozens of times.
Lol so embarrassing
@@RussianReactionReviews nah it's a good thing, just means your not emotionally shut down
your personality is very allureing and a pleasure to watch your vids 👍👌😁
Thank you so much
LMAO, I could her your dog snoring in the video 😂😂😂
Lol so embarassing sorry
@@RussianReactionReviews i thought it was actually funny
This was one of the few DVDs my dad had so my sister and I would watch it like every night before bed when I was a kid.
Despite how much nostalgia I have for this movie, there's a funny story about how much the writer of the book this is based on hated it. He wrote a second book and made it so crazy and stupid that they'd never make a movie out of it. Like, Forrest going to space and fighting in a war with a chimpanzee sidekick kinda crazy.
And the funniest part is, Forrest opens the book with "Don't ever let no one make a movie about your life."
1- love your username and wow I heard that.. forest the astronaut lol
Aww thank you victor I will check it out
I know such a powerful yet hard to watch movie . GREAT Reaction.
Thank you Edwin
Awe I have new video coming out today but making sure he’s not around .. thank you for watching with me and supporting
@@RussianReactionReviews let the little dude have his moment of fame with you, im sure no one minds.
Lol ok
Irina, l love your reaction to this .
I loved your reaction
Forrest gump is one of my fave movies too..great reaction
Thank you so much Timothy
@@RussianReactionReviewsthank you for replying.. you should check out the movie "that thing you do". It was written and directed by Tom hanks and he is in the movie too
At 1502 i could only hear your dog snoring 😂😂😂
I’m not an emotional person with the movies, but I cried also I think two parts in this movie. One when Bubba died and MORE when Jenny runs across the lake you should’ve let that play out in full
We all cry the same tears..
Hi Irina great watchalong, this film is so moving.
Thanks so much Darren,, I really enjoyed it
There's alot of scenes in Forest Gump that references to famous events that happened throughout American history.
I’m sorry to hear that ❤️I hope you find happiness and peace
Netherlands in the place,, thank you for that
I think that towards the end of the movie, your dog was snoring!!! It was funny! Was that your dog?😆
At about the 15:00 min mark, you can hear the dog snoring in the background. LOL!
My Frenchbulldog lol
Irina, you must watch the full version of this movie. You tube chopped it all up and edited out most of the interesting parts. You will surely like it more in it's full version!
For your information the SON of Forrest (the actor) went on to be quite a big star himself
I was in a camp in Utah when I was 17 for being a bad boy. Guess who was also in my group, Tom Hanks’ son, Chet. Definitely a memory I won’t forget lol
I’m a grown man but that movie brings me to tears every time.
A real tear jerker , definitely can relate in ways . May need to watch a few comedy movies to help clear the energy from this movie . Try dirty grandpa 😂
Aw thank you ! I can use some laughter
Great reaction! just found your channel, another great movie you should react to with Tom Hanks is The Green Mile, react to Leon the professional, ( the directors cut ) and V for Vendetta, both with Natalie Portman!
Thank you so much Donald , I have to check those out
All great suggestions Don. I own "Leon" & "V for Vandetta" and Natalie Portman is great in both. Irina, you should enjoy seeing her growth as an actress starting at age 12 in "Leon" and in her twenties in "V".
I love that snoring dog
I'm watching this movie as we speak!! One of the best movies ever released!! Hello from Washington State!!
Hi Ian,, thank you for watching with me
I used to live near Bayou Labatre which was mentioned in this movie. Beautiful area. My ex wife and daughter still live in that area. I miss them :(
Aww give your daughter a call
That feather is a metaphor used in the movie , that we can’t control life and where it leads , when truly that life is a uncontrollable path that’s part of love ,pain ,loss, happiness ,depression etc .
Like we can’t control a feather in the air, it has its own path
thats a lot of symbolism,, beautiful
His mother is a very famous actress also.
When Forrest Stands over her grave and talks to her at the end it gets me every time. And I think I can hear your dog breathing in the background so cute 😂
That was a sad scene,,, and yea sorry my little dog was snoring lol
@@RussianReactionReviews Your dog snoring was cute. Didn’t bother me at all.
Awe thank you Steven
I tear up because of Jenny. Abused children think they don't deserve better and keep making the same choices. Forrest would do anything for her and she knows it. She just couldn't accept she was worthy of decent behavior. My question about her marrying Forrest is would she have done it if she wasn't going to die?
I don't think so.
Great coverage of a period of history? Excellent characters and outstanding music. I think this is wonderful love story and even with Forrest being able to cope, he deserved a better life.
Great points,, I feel like you especially with Jenny
Thank you. 😊
Thank you So much for your subscription and for sending a kind comment . I appreciate it and I really try to get to all of mine
Please do more movie reactions. It also would be nice if the videos are longer
I will work on it Joshua
I’ve never wanted to hug someone more than you 😢
means a lot
ok i am watching this movie now as you bought tears to my eyes, just hearing the name Jenny, my ex Jen who i miss so much and have stayed single for the last 8 years, i hope there is another Jen out there, never forget who you have and don't fuck up like i did, you will regret and have to live with the pain off loss, thats when you know you had love and the right person who is verrrrrry hard to replace
