U2 are definitely the most successful band to come out of Ireland but definitely not the best! Such a gem of a band! Bono couldn't lace Christys boots! Phil Lynott would probably agree!
Where are you saying greetings you're not from Mars or no space you just found another place on earth greetings Christy every this is like what the f***aliens in the comment section
Superb. God bless you Christy. You're on the Nightshift now with Jackie Wilson and Marvin Gaye. Probably welcomed open armed by Prince, Freddie Mercury Tom Petty, Elvis Lennon and the Everley Bros. Enjoy it up there and thank you for the music and life inspiration.
One of the best live videos you will see. My fiancé and I got to see Aslan a few years ago at Vicar St and the vibes were phenomenal. The crowd was up and singing from beginning to end. Thank you Christy and the band.
No they were the original you too bono and clan tobacco because Christy unfortunately I couldn't go because he had a bad heroin Habit at time. So they went with plan B you too and bono. (it's a crazy world)
Discovering this band in 2014. An Irish gem of a band. Another song that is simply beautiful, catchy with meaningful lyrics. From what I’ve heard so far from them they could have been another great successful Irish band had they not disbanded early in their career. I’m a huge U2 fan & I’m loving this band just as much after missing on them all these years.
This song is so touching I never get sick of hearing it.. I just had a bath and it came on and it sent goosebumps (chillbumps) up my whole body with enjoyment.. not many songs do this to me only certain Irish rebel music when I’m poorly.. Much Love Aslan x
This Video "AutoPlayed" after I watched a video of Aslan's Return from Chronicles of Narnia. I haven't been this impressed with the Irish since The Cranberries "No Need to Argue". Well done mates. Cheers.
God bless u I will pray for that that you will never need any more chemo ) my husband had major surgery for eosophaguel cancer 4 yrs wit terrible side effects. We both wish you a complete recovery we love your music You are Great. God bless you and take care of you x
I love that I discovered this band but the circumstances could have been different although the song matches them, in October 2012 our niece took her own life and as we were been driven to donegal this came on the radio and it caught me right away I asked my partner who they were cos they kept coming on the radio and he explained about them, I didn't have to wait long as my other niece took her life too 45days after her sister thanks christy and the band because your right it is a crazy 🌎 love loads 🙏 😢 💔 xx take care christy
+DavyG1916 I think they tried to make it in the UK a few times but it never worked out for them. It's a pity for them, but it does mean they concentrate on touring Ireland so good for us.
Remember one of the trips to Tipp - Bryan Adams was supposed to be top of the bill, but they put him on before Aslan - and a large chunk of the crowd spent Adams' set chanting 'We want Aslan'..... ....I was one of them.....
@@northside7 Sadly, having given my memory a day or 200 to catch up, it was The Stunning, not Aslan - though I think Aslan did play at least one of the Trips to Tipp.
@@northside7 I think the Cypress Hill/House of Pain one was a couple of years later - I think the Stunning were on that bill too - that was Crowded House and Elvis Costello topping the bill maybe ?
one of the first live gigs I went to as a teenager. many years ago. Aslan, deacon blue,Tracy chapman back in the r d s maybe mid 80 's. great show. they still got the spirit. f I'm getting old. oh well. they keep me young
Yup comment section spot on most underrated band in the world, sending positive vibes to christy, you were fantastic in mullingar couple of weeks ago, you were like an angel 😇 singing on that stage, best gig I've been to in a long long time,, your in my thoughts and prayer Digger please god you beat this illness like I did, and @Karisa Mastrocco your Rosa will beat her illness too, listen to the words✌️🎶
And we though it was crazy then🙄. What word can we use to describe it now🤔 I like your lovely, honest way of doing things, Christy. Great band, great singer. All the best👼🍀
I knew I should have moved to Ireland in the 80's ...it was always there...it never happened...I missed out. But it's all right, this is a crazy world.
The most under rated band of all time
Nah
LOL and underrated is one word
@@monstermash1961666, true. But I think they're definitely underrated, for sure. Saw them in La Touche, Greystones in the early 2000s. Awesome...!

Blown away by the tightness of this band and the vocals are out of this world. Great song!!!

christys beautifully expressive hands as they illuminate the words somehow make the world seem a little less crazy thank you aslan

Agreed why have I never heard of these guys before stumbling over the TH-cam vids. The Irish are good at keeping secrets obviously.

+Jerry Higgins I have fallen down so many times...... What a line... Christys story is heartbreaking too
he was performing this yesterday live out side homeless shelter in dublin, google it
