To be fair, you could just count it as 6/4
or maybe 6/8... I'm not sure where the quarter note is in terms of bpm.
The main groove at the beginning I would count by 6.

I count the entire thing in 9/8. If you count in in 6/8 (which is what Wood's high hat is outlining) the dotted-eighth of the 9/8 gets the beat the beat
