Graphics are perfectly fine, but seeing the same models over and over again, walking into the same houses could easily enough get monotonous and same-y, especially if you're advertising a totally new world to play in. I just want to see some new buildings. Be it DLC or a fully fledged game. They're a core part of the game and it's probably getting stale seeing the same buildings from a decade ago on every single map, regardless of the theme. Considering every single map depends on what are essentially the same assets to function at a base level. I say work on a bunch of new buildings with AI pathing and loot distribution so map makers have more to work with when creating custom scenarios as well. But who am I to say how easy that would be.

It usually goes pretty well until I have a hard time finding tetra etc, head to a town and 💀. It would be nice if the Devs added a basic medicinal crafting feature and use herbs / mushrooms etc.

can't wait for this. what I personally always loved about dayz was the cozyness. you know, making a fire in bad weather on the brink of death with someone you just met and grilling a piece of meat. this is what dayz is for me. I never played a single minute on any type of modded server. it's just not the same. the fact that there is now an entire dlc coming with that beautiful cozy winter climate makes me incredibly excited. can't wait to play.
Console has every official map PC does. It's just PC has so many amazing creators who make maps voluntarily and at most ask for support by donation. It's sad the modding community can't be brought to console because I don't really understand why not so maybe it will come in time if the console version gets enough interest from the players. This is great news for console players though so cheers to that.

Now what we really need are new scopes especially for the SV98 since it's basically a worse Tundra, and maybe some new weapons or weapon balancing that makes them feel unique!
Happily buy this after the thousand hours in DayZ, best value game I've ever purchased given play time. A snowmap that's also a different size will be very popular indeed, especially on console too, great work.
As a Console player. I love the looks of this map reminds me of namalsk but bigger and more lively. I love the huge hills and all the new animals. I can't wait to climb a hill and disappear into the snowy woods, live of the land and uncover the secrets of Sakal!
Eat less and get your self a better pc, game is fine even with 1080ti, nothing wrong with optimization…Don't blame the badness of your own PC on optimisation, there is no such thing as perfect play on every PC, the better the PC the better the gaming experience
A good step in the right direction, especially for all you on consoles. I hope to see many new assets for this region, as that's what we interact with so much of the time. Especially houses I hope to not see as boarded up as today.
I have 3k hours on DayZ, recently i "discovered" Livonia, its amazing, no moded map are near as good as the originals, cant wait for Sakhal, i think it will be the best map, thank you devs.
I'm excited to see what kinds of clothing this adds, I find most of the fun to just be going around looting and surviving with as little player interaction as possible lol, so the new stuff and winter conditions sound great, can't wait to learn a new area.
Would’ve def liked to have seen updated versions to the original building styles or additions new models for those. Still quite excited to see an official release.
hey man, how is the experience on console? ive been thinking baout getting it for my ps5, but dayz is already a complex even clumsy game for pc in terms of actions and UI. How is it for console? is it playable?
I’d say after playing on Xbox for like 2 years I’d say it’s pretty decent, official servers are just a no go ofc because they just aren’t it. Some decent community servers on Xbox, not sure about ps5 tho, ive only played about an hour on there. I mean there’s kb&m support which I was glad about. I’d recommend it if you prefer console, since I agree pc can be a tad janky depending on servers and stuff. At the end of the day the game is pretty old so it’s still a lil clunky but I’d say it’s pretty decent on console. Hope this helps
They better rework the whole sickness risk system cuz the player gets sick too quickly and too easily unless u can get a good start especially on servers that make it cold on purpose
Also the cars need to be fixed they still have lag driving by and in towns keep dying when I'm driving it's definitely not my driving cuz I play alot of racing games like need for speed heat,gran turismo and so on so plz fix the driving lag also would he awesome to find LMG's and miniguns
As a PC DayZ player, I'm very happy to see a new map coming for console (and pc). Console has a quite large player base in DayZ and they have been begging for a new map. Us PC players are spoiled by all the mods and new maps that we can play for free. GG DayZ!!

thats the point, you put yourself in a vulnerable position for the ability to flush enemys out of cover and potentially kill enemys.
