Very informative @Billy 👍 I was totally confused at the practice section because I forgetfully was applying the rules for _ and | to all pairs of vowels 😂 rewatched & realised it was for just those 2 vowels and so i got the pronunciations spot on when I again reached the practice section a second time !
I heard that people from Latinos countries find easier to pronounce and understand hangul comparing to English speaking countries. In Portuguese we have similar consonants and in French too (as I speak both). Anybody else from South America or Portugal/Spain or even Italy relate to that?
Your reading speed will naturally get faster as your general Korean comprehension improves, and that will improve as everything else improves. It's not something I think you have to work at separately for the time being :)

I have a question I really need an answer to, if anyone understands please put me through, 감사합니다.🙏 My question is: It seems that in 한글 diphthongs, 오 and 우 ends up being pronounced the same as in how you'll pronounce "w" in English. For example, I think 와 and 우ㅏ will both be pronounced "wa" in English, am I right? Or is there a logic as to when 오 and 우 can be used as left vowel in a diphthong?
ik this is super late to comment on but still, i wanted to ask. are symbols like ㅜ or ㅗ always gonna have the ㅡ part of it slightly bended when its connected to another symbol? if so, is it important or does it not really matter when writing it?
Hi Billy or anyone can help me with this two, 오ㅔ and 외. Is my understanding correct? the 1st one is how we pronounced it same with 왜 but it is written as 외? 감사합니다 ☺️
That's like in English how the letter "Z" is pronounced as "Zee" (or "Zed" in other countries). Those are just the names of the letters, for how you can pronounce them out loud. For example, if you want to know how something is spelled, those are the letter names you'll hear.
I mention in the second episode that it's best to avoid romanization, since none of the sounds will match with English. Here's another video about it: th-cam.com/video/i2jPpO7VG5k/w-d-xo.html Also here's another video about how to pronounce ㄹ: th-cam.com/video/2-4ShB33Eu4/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps~! :D
@@GoBillyKorean So, I can only write it in the order you wrote? Or I can write it randomly? Because I have seen it written in different order on different sites. I am confused about the correct order.

@@GoBillyKorean I feel very bad to bother you so much😭, I'm very sorry for that and thankyou so much for answering.🌷What I mean is, there is a specific order to write English alphabets (like ABCD...) and writing it randomly (like ACDB...) would be incorrect. I'm talking about alphabet orders here and not letters in a word. Hope you'll understand my question and thankyou again for being so patient and helpful. 🧡
@@Sunshine-uk5pi Yes, there is an alphabetical order in Hangul too. It starts with ㄱㄴㄷ officially. Double consonants go inside their original versions (ㄱㄲㄴㄷㄸ, etc.).
You most likely won't need to know the names of the letters until later on when you're having full conversations. They're just here for your reference and to take notes.
All romanization will be incorrect for Korean, which is why I don't use romanization in the lessons. Here's a video I made about why: th-cam.com/video/i2jPpO7VG5k/w-d-xo.html
It's pronounced correctly. But it's common to be "expecting" a different sound, because these sounds are different than in other languages. It gets better with time and practice.
