I think it looks good enough with just the cyclops, without enlarging the window. The cyclops lens makes the dial look smaller, and that's a good thing. However, I do like the new hands better than the old.

Nice video! Does anybody happen to know what size hands fit on this watch? When I'm trying to order hands I can't tell what size to order. Also I ordered a sapphire with magnifier for my Casio Duro and the magnifying lens is slightly off center. It's really annoying. It doesn't look anything as nice as this gentleman's video. Does anyone know where he got his crystal from?
The crytal is original here, I just glued on a magnifyer...

How to choose the arrows? which ones will do?
of you mean how to choose hands, you find the hand hole sizes by looking up the movement, and then see what is for sale on those sizes.
I believe the Casio 2784 movement is actually a Miyota 2115. If true, the hand sizes are: Hour 1.20, Min 0.7, Sec 0.17. Good job aligning the second hand with tick marks. Looks spot on! This usually takes me a few times to get it aligned perfectly.

So for my gold trimmed bezel duro, I plan on replacing the mineral crystal with sapphire, then hydrolyzing it with silicon oil. So happy to come across all of these modding videos!

@@profound369really?. It’s been done before and with the strong torque of these movements, there’s a good chance it won’t lose time.

Great job, but the lume on this watch is bad! 5 minutes and empty!
Very nice. The Mercedes hands really make it pop. I ordered the Batman version a couple of days ago and my son the black model. Looking forward to dinking around with it.

I only see the Date in your watch, it takes the attention when you look at it. I have two Duros, I don´t see the Date but the attention goes to the Marlin and the Red Seconds hand. I prefer that.

if you notice, the hands are for watches that are 36-38mm really, which is what I bought them for decades ago. its very small looking in the duro, but if I get bored of them, I will put the original hands back on. Cant change it too often tho, the hands will stretch out. hmmm maybe I should buy a proper big size hands for the duro? Im planning on ordering some parts anyway... hmmmmm
Danny, the date aperture mod looks great but for such a big, butch watch the hands are too small as the minute hand barely reaches the edge of the indices.
