You can tell all Warren G ever wanted was the approval of his big brother.. Honestly, Dr. Dre and the whole West Coast needs to give this man his flower!!
I really never even knew they were brothers. I thing I vaguely remember they were related but, maybe I knew that…no, I think I thought they were cousins.
I don't like how Dr. Dre treated Warren G. When death row was going on their first tour, he wouldn't even look out for Warren. He tells him "he has to be his own man" Then when Dr. Dre leaves Death Row, he didn't even tell Warren and he shows up to the studio and almost got beat down! SMH.......
Warren G definitely deserves his flowers. I truly believe everything that’s owed to him will come back around in due time. No one can take his gift… he truly loves the art of music. He’s seems so humble… much blessings to him.
I smiled throughout the whole interview. So many memories and good times. Thanks Warren G for your contribution to the culture. It wouldn't be the same without you. A fan, TJ ❤
I’ve watched Warren G recent interviews on J-HUD talk show, Effective Immediately, One-Song podcast, Radio Stations, Etc, but NOT 1 compare to this!!! When I clicked on and saw who…was on the show this week, my heart smiled. Tank & Jay, thank you so much for this, and Warren G, is not only a West Coast legend, he’s a World-wide Music legend. I consumed this interview like a plate of them Sniffin Griffin beef ribs he spoke of.!!! I LOVED it all, thanks again. -Tasha
Thank you for another amazing interview, R&B Money! I’m a Gen Zer and appreciated learning about Warren G’s journey. I plan on listening to more of his music and also listening to the full Chronic album because of the project’s significance but also because of Warren’s incredible contributions. I hope that if y’all ever feel underrated or overlooked y’all remember that there are hundreds of thousands of grateful fans that are being introduced/re-introduced to monumental artists, producers, albums, etc. because of what y’all do every week. And younger fans like me are now playing albums like The Chronic, reading song credits online, and appreciating the collective effort that goes into some of the greatest music ever created. And because of that, the art y’all love so much and the people behind it will live on long after this podcast. ❤️
Maaan... Those slept on Warren G beats were Kam's "Keep Tha Peace", Twinz "Goodtimes" & "Sorry I Kept You" & those Snoop "St. Ides commercials" & his own St. Ides Brew commercial... Super smooth G-Funk shit
The whole west coast should def Warren G his flowers. I just turned 33 Sunday, growing up in the 90s was a time to be alive! I listen to old school rap instead of today’s 9.9/10. Warren reminds me of my Gpop in his younger years. Cool ass Unc energy 😂 love it! 🫶🏽
It was the same ego that wouldn’t allow Dre to hear warren G in the beginning that didn’t allow him to credit him helping build the foundation for his relationship with snoop and the chronic. Sad story
I’ll say for sure now Dre has given Warren his credit for the Chronic in verbiage but now that Snoop has taken over Death Row, he made sure that he received his publishing and stuff
I used to rent him cars from Enterprise rent-a-car out in cali.. when he came in I lost it and kept my cool at the same time.. my favorite customer!! Used to love going to pick up the cars from the crib!!
In a way, I feel bad for Warren, but I also am glad he’s mentioned his shortcomings on the financial side of the music biz. I wouldn’t doubt that within the next 6 months a big story comes from this, specifically speaking to the conversations of audits, Dre, Snoop and unreleased music. I hope he gets his credit! A big s/o to Tank/J for supporting his story and giving him sound advice. 🙏🏾
Shout out to R&B money ✊🏾. I love Warren and pray he receive all his flowers. Watching his documentary some years back, it made me realize he was more of a brother to Dre than Dre was to him. Even Snoop seemed to have forgot about him one he got recognized. Warren was a major contributor.
Random thought: Dogg Pound album, bomb azz and Let's Play House are two of my fav. I had no business listening to those songs back in the day! Man, the good old days!
I love to hear Warren talk. He has the best interviews. His stories are awesome. I can listen to him all day. Much respect. G Funk Era is a classic from start to finish.
Maaaaan they can't get a Smokey Robinson! Dionne Warick was, dare I say, a fluke! LUCK! Tank and J. Val, prove to us your real reach gentlemen! lol man this podcast is so great!
This was so beautiful. Its always good to hear Warren. But def go do that audit just for peace of mind 💕 and i was just as hype as J rapping along w him 😊😅 this was dope. Great job fellas 👏🏾👏🏾
@ But everyone in our culture believes they owe Prince and Michael respect. He would have bowed to Prince. Plus NEVER would he have been “on tour” with Prince.
Great show!!! While I always enjoy the whole show, my favorite part is always when J. Valentine starts laughing when Tank starts playing “ I ain’t saying no names”…best part.
Warren G. has aged like a fine wine. He still looks good 🔥. Seeing Warren takes me back to being a teenager. I thought I was so cool listening to him & Nate Dogg 😂. Nothing compares to those days. The music today just doesn't hit the same way. REGULATORS!! Mount Up! 😎🔥🎶
G Funk Era was and is still special to me. 💪🏿 I was too young to drive but i was the lil homie that the older ones took everywhere. This music is still cherished!
Thanks for having Warren G on your podcast. I agree, Warren G needs to get paid for all the past work he's done. Tank / J Valentine did us music aficionados a great service by creating/ running this podcast. So many great artists /music. Keep on doing what y'all are doing. ❤
Oh make no mistake about it....I in my young years I was a regulator! Got that G-Funk in my blood. Thankyou OG and Thankfully Tank and Valentine for bringing his contribution to the forefront.
I always rooted for DUB G…. Seem like he was left behind and then he took destiny in his own hands! And he came THROUGH! Even Nate Dogg… I still love his double CD debut which came out hella years later! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks for sharing this knowledge. Warren G is so kool and laid back. I love his energy! I hope you get your money and whatever else you deserve. You put the work in for sho.
This is actress interview you guys are so on it! Love the era of music , I was running the streets to this music not to mention all the R&B music in this era! 👊🏾👍🏾

Dre is a jealous queen who can't let no one outshine him.
Yeaaa. I’ve noticed that Dr.Dre barely speaks about Warren G… I also noticed that Warren wasn’t even recognized in the NWA movie, but Snoop was 🫠
