I'd never heard of this toy until now, but I enjoyed listening to it as the sound is reminiscent of various old toys I had. And I really like the clear and detailed listing here - just for recording an old toy you went and found out the names of the composers of some of these old songs! Well done!
Some songs such as Polly Wolly Doodle, Yellow Rose of Texas, Old MacDonald, and Little Brown Jug are the same arrangements heard in various childrens toys, but they're higher pitched here.
They probably use the same melody chips--there's a toy piano that uses the same sound chip as the OMNI music box, another ice cream truck jingle player
Now all you need is a RATTY OLD VAN that runs on 3 out of 8 cylinders. And you too can be an ICE CREAM MAN in California.....Except you need to yell. HELLO between the songs.
This music reminds me of me of three things: musical toys musical holiday decorations and background music from an 8-bit Atari or Nintendo game system.
Same kind of technology, except chips in video game systems were generally more advanced and had more sound channels. Basic square-wave melody chips are cheap to manufacture since a square wave is the most basic digital waveform to reproduce (hence why telephone ringer chips and medical equipment make the same kinds of electronic beeps)
The same thing as Jack and Jill it was used in a few toys and in a Korean educational toy that has Korean alphabet and music and plays Jack and Jill lower pitched

It's not a toy. It's made solely for vehicles such as ice cream trucks.
@The Beesh-Spweesh! Sorry, I misunderstood. Still, my
comment stands, since I was impressed with the information in the list.
Yeah it’s not a toy it’s a solely for ice cream truck

The Omni music box by Nichols Electronics has the songs with "Hello!" at the beginning.
@@homer4635 ha ha that is annoying as hell. HELLO.....

Nice cool 😎 sounds
My favorite wolo 345 song is the
white Christmas
If you still have this, are you willing to take a picture of the circuit board?
Nice cool
I’m going to buy a Wolo 345 on Amazon.
What Happened to the Speaker it’s going down to A Soft Floor
Idk tell homer 4
What's the difference between this one and the 2012-present one? They practically sound the same
The songs are off key with this version.
The pre 2011 is a bit out of tune and has some minor changes to the songs than the 2012-present
@@homer4635 I’m trying to make mine to version 2 bc the first one always statice
@@James_lirr-ict_catches I hope you realize you're spamming.
How can you tell which ones are off key? It's still pretty hard to distinguish between the two lol
This is the same but the tune kind of sounds different and kind of untuned
Wow! This is pretty awesome! How come you made a version 2 of this?
Because the first version had a lot of static in it.
@@homer4635 how u made it pitch Bc I’m trying to make my sound like that except regular

I honestly prefer the 2003 over 2011 WOLO 345
same
It was actually from 2012, not 2011
2003-2011*
Is it loud enough to put on my ice cream truck & people hear it
If you turn the volume up loud enough, yes. You can also use a 50W horn speaker.
