I think about Thanksgiving every day even though in Switzerland we don't celebrate it. I have experienced so many periods of harmony in the USA. For a while, it seemed to me that we were talking more about this Thanksgiving celebration at my grandmother's house... : )) You know my story. Thank you for this return to yesteryear, the sweet, tender and loving memories. I inhabit the present of your visual, auditory, dark, restful, evanescent, fine and so real creation through the creation of this gray autumn, moving as I like it, cold and rainy too. The piano beautifully accompanies the music from outside, the song of the wind in the rustling of the branches, the objects colliding : a treat ! A real ballet ! Peace and beauty, time of dreams and reunions, for some... A +++ my sweet friend always full of nourishing ideas to color aching hearts and sleeping souls. Look at those clouds, we might have snow tonight. Grandma is stubborn, so I better get that walk shoveled before she or Grandpa decide to do it. See 'cause here's the thing: She'll gladly break her back shoveling the walk, but will demand I wash dishes on Thanksgiving Night. So what ya do is you beat her to the punch. Shovel the walk, and then she's like "Oh that was very generous of you, shoveling that walk. You don't have to help wash dishes." That is, if it snows tonight. But from the sound of that wind I think I'll head inside anyway. Feels like an "apple cobbler and cranberry sauce" night.

🍁Welcome to Country Cottage Sounds! Autumn is such a wonderful time of the year! Wonderful memories of Grandma in the kitchen making homemade pumpkin pies. The smell was amazing! If you look closely, you will see Grandma cutting the excess pie dough off of the pie. Listen closely as you will hear the swing squeaking in the wind. Look at those clouds, we might have snow tonight. Grandma is stubborn, so I better get that walk shoveled before she or Grandpa decide to do it. See 'cause here's the thing: She'll gladly break her back shoveling the walk, but will demand I wash dishes on Thanksgiving Night. So what ya do is you beat her to the punch. Shovel the walk, and then she's like "Oh that was very generous of you, shoveling that walk. You don't have to help wash dishes."
That is, if it snows tonight. But from the sound of that wind I think I'll head inside anyway. Feels like an "apple cobbler and cranberry sauce" night.
Now, why do I think you’ve tried this clever tactic before with Grandma? 😂
