I have a motorola I576 that can do the off network PTT as well like this phones. No worrying about scanners picking it up since it FHSS 600mw. Just need to get a new battery for it and maybe get one of these i355 radios off ebay to use it to talk with. The i355 is the best range one yes?
good tools for very short range communication with a little bit of security. in SHTF these might make an alright tactical coordination tool, but in reality i think that handheld ham radios (walkie talkies) are a better value considering how cheap they are now (30$ will buy you a radio capable of transmitting and receiving many many miles, and with repeaters you can communicate hundreds of miles away)
Well they're more secure than you think because not only do they frequency hop very fast but it's a digital signal and the software to decode the digital signal is not readily available only Motorola has as far as I know so good luck you would have to figure out the algorithm of which they frequency hop together and you would need software to decode the the digital signal
Survival Gear Lists OK, I gave these a go around my office that's located in a downtown area. One radio was in my car in the back parking lot and I had the other one. I could communicate with the radio in my car from inside the heavily concrete building but not from the basement or first floor. It worked from floors 2-4. From the street level, I walked two blocks and with our building between me and my car I could still reach the other radio. Once I turned the corner and put a parking structure between me and my office building, I could not reach the other radio. These radios, at a 1/2 watt, won't go far but will work around your suburban neighborhood or between buildings if you don't have too much steel and concrete between you. Hope that helps!
Excellent video. I appreciate it.

WHERE DO I GET
I pick up a lot of 6 phones on eBay. I bought some spare batteries on eBay as well.
I have 4
Good question. I work in a downtown area so I'll take the radios with me to work on Friday and give them a test. I'll post my results. Go Blackhawks!

Do these still work nationwide ? If not is there a way to still do so ?
Sam Cooperman don’t know if they still work on on a network but they still work phone to phone...like a walkie talkie
No they worked on the IDEN network which has been long gone
What firmware is it on do you know
+Sherman Isidore I booted the phone and went into all the sub-menus but I don't see any firmware information.
Ютуб ну где же перевод в комментах и видео?...😭
