This got delivered to me today. That space between to the left of the base cabinet with small wood block looks like things can get stuck between it. Can you put a piece of ply on the rev pullout first before installing it to get a snug fit? I have a 4.5" space and the shelf will be place next to a dishwasher. Any input would be appreciated. My only other option is to remove the base cabinets and cut two of my other 3" fillers to gain 6.5" and purchase a 6" cabinet for the space.
That’s a very good question. The first layer of filler acts as the face frame. The second filler acts as the door front. However, you could slide it forward 3/4” and just use the door front like you said.
So, there is no support material in the front? The sliding rack takes up all the space and so the top is pressing down on the drawer slides and the sliding rack is actually supporting the structure in the front? Is this right?
These pullouts are suppose to be installed in-between two cabinets. In my video, there is only a cabinet on the left and a stove on the right. So there will be more weight from the countertop resting on the pullout, but, I have found it still slides really well. And, if it’s installed between two cabinets, less weight rests on the pullout so it will work the best.
Can you use normal soft closing runners too and bottom? I’ve built my own bookshelf but it’s stiff to open. Closed softly .

couldn't you have moved the thing about a 1/2 inch forward so you'd only need one layer of front filler panels?

@@JedsGarageAlso, do you think the box you built on the bottom is necessary or could you have just had 4 screws going into the adjacent cabinet?
