    If you apply your same reasoning to the Canon, you would have to reject that too.
    #1.) We know that we do not have one existing Text written by the actual authors, so to say the Book of Enoch was not written down till a much later date applies to EVERY Book of Scripture.
    #2.) Enoch is included in the Canon of LXX, DSS as well as the Ethiopic Church which is NOT gnostic.
    #3.) Enoch does not teach a flat earth, although some of the Book of Astronomy uses descriptions of the movement of the heavens that seem odd to us, but no different than other statements in our 66 Book Canon. The "giants" are called by MANY names (rephaim, Anakim, Zamzumim, Emim, etc.) and the VERY Text you gave (Gen 6:4) uses the word "nephilim". It is not unreasonable to assume that these were from the "fallen" (nephilim) angels and countless Bible scholars admit this.
    The "3000 Ells" is a mistranslation based on the Ethiopic Text, but is clarified as "the Nephilim brought forth Ĕli'ud," and is not to be translated as a height measurement, yet you spent the majority of your video wasting time "exposing" this already known error.
    #4.) Enoch Ch. 71 is NOT being addressed to Enoch himself:
    “And he came to me and greeted me [Enoch] with his voice, and said to me, 'This is the Son of Adam who is born unto righteousness, and righteousness abides over Him, and the righteousness of the Head of Days does not forsake Him....”
    Not sure what your version reads, but if it reads the same as my copies, you would need awful reading comprehension to apply it to Enoch, who received the vision and is in the following verses all addressed to "He" the coming Messiah.
    #5.) Rather pointless reason. The serpent is the one attributed to the sin of Adam and Eve, yet they are the ones cursed and just because the Text doesn't directly say give the reason for the decline of man doesn't disqualify the Book of Enoch...
    You should redo your examination and point out the hundreds of Texts in the 66 Book Canon that DO confirm the Book of Enoch, such as the accounts of the giants (nephilim), Jude 1:6 "And the angels which kept not their first estate..." and 1Co 6"3 "Know ye not that we shall judge angels?" just to name a few.
    Enoch is the ONLY account that can confirm Paul's statement above.
    Yes, there may be some scribal embellishment in the Book of Enoch that can seem odd, but your 5 reasons really fell flat for those of us who have studied the Book without bias.

      I don't subscribe to the "Book of Enoch" as being God inspired...however, it does appear to give a rational cultural and spiritual context that might help explain many references in the Canon
      Our apostles were not perfect nor sinless. Yet what they wrote, led by and with the Holy Spirit, was perfect
      Regarding the book of Enoch, as with Gideon as his ephod, which became a snare to him and his family (Judges 8:27), we must be careful to discern and separate culture, history, idolatry from the truth

    • @BrotherBill
      @BrotherBill  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      That's nice, @boonedog4460. The Dead Sea Scrolls include many non-canonical and secular writings. That is is no indication of whether the Essene sect of Judaism in Qumran considered them part of Scripture. Additionally, the Essenes were seen as a radical fringe group by the Jews of the day, so their opinions aren't highly relevant anyway. As for my level of study, I leave that for the Lord to vindicate me.
      @44spangle, Jude was written in the first century. Portions of the Book of Enoch were definitely written prior to that time, but not all of it. The similarity of the verses in Jude and the Book of Enoch may have been from having a common source or from Jude being the source for the Book of Enoch. A date of 200AD (or even a few centuries earlier) still falls 3,000 years short of the time of the biblical Enoch. If it does not have that antiquity it cannot be legitimate. If it is a false text, then it was certainly not the source for Jude though it could be copied from Jude.

    • @2besavedcom-7
      @2besavedcom-7 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Just a small correction @spangle, the DSS are actually dated to around 200BC not AD thus could never have been "copied from Jude" as @BrotherBill suggest and it is only speculation that the Essenes were those who wrote the DSS who were clearly a group of Jews who wanted to be separate from the Jewish hierarchy and were waiting for the eminent Messiah as the Book of Enoch prophesies.
      @BrotherBill uses the word "non-canonical" as though the RCC is the ones who decided on what is canon and the only "secular writings" are their own accounts

      Thanks Oshea, but that is quite different. The Book of Enoch specifically claims it was written by Enoch in its very first verse. 1 Enoch 1:1, "The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in the days of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed." That is why it bears the name of Enoch. Ruth never claimed to have written the book bearing her name. That is the difference and why even the name is false.

    16) Abortion is murder Enoch 98:5, 99:5
    17) Denying inspiration is calling God a liar. Enoch 104:5
    18) Do not alter scripture. Enoch 104:9
    19) The book of Enoch was written for the final generation who would be alive during the great tribulation. Enoch chapter 1
    The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that there was an entire canon of scrolls that pre-date Moses' writings. These scrolls were preserved by the Zadok priests who were the faithful priests who had descended from the line of Aaron the brother of Moses.
    Consider also, the same God who inspired ALL scripture also preserved these writings along the shores of the Dead Sea alongside our entire Old Testament canon with no distinction between the writings. All this at the same time He was restoring the Nation of Israel.
    I love you brothers and sisters but be very careful not to call what God has inspired, preserved, and restored, a fraud. If you don't understand Enoch, try harder.

      The Dead Sea Scrolls only date back as far as the period between the Old and New Testament (300BC-100AD). The Scrolls also contain other non-canonical and secular books, so their preservation through them only proves that they existed at the time of the Qumran community. The Essenes, who preserved the Scrolls were considered heretical by the Jews of their day anyway, so that also proves nothing. Showing up out of nowhere, not as a new writing, but something written 3,000 years before is quite the flight of fancy, especially considering all the other apocryphal writings that were written in the same era in the same region.

    • @BalancedChristian
      @BalancedChristian 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BrotherBill By this argument there are no truly inspired ancient writings as these are the oldest copies of all our Old Testament books. The fact being they are copies of copies etc. To pretend a copy is an original is consistent with liberal scholars and is used to doubt the reliability of scripture in general. The fact is, it was the Pharisees and the Sadducees who were the heretical groups denying any and all scripture they did not agree with. Had they held on to the writings of the ancients which taught of the death burial and resurrection of Mesiah, maybe they would have recognized Jesus when He came the first time.
      Also, the writers of the scrolls do not identify themselves as Essenes, but they do identify themselves as Zadok priests who were the authorized keepers of the scroll library going all the way back to Aaron. They were reauthorized by Ezra as the High Priests within the Jerusalem temple. They would later be exiled by the corrupt Sadducees with the help of the Greeks. As the Zadok Priests fled the temple, they carried the complete scroll library with them. All these scrolls were once part of the complete scroll library held by the sons of Zadok, the priests who kept the covenant.

    I find the reasons you give are lacking. Nephilim is mentioned in the Bible as if the reader already knows what they are. The book of Enoch explains what the Nephilim are. There is no evidence that Noah DiD NOT have the book of Enoch on the Ark either. How many books in the Bible were not written by the person whose name is on the book ? The Jews rejected it for many reasons. One being that some of them (The Sadducees for one) don't believe in angels, demons or the afterlife. The book does speak about the so called "flat earth". Real name Geocentric . Even the Book of Genesis says this. The book of Enoch seems to give greater detail to the stories in the Bible. Stories that don't seem to make sense until you read Enoch. The book of Enoch was written for a future generation (Our time? Maybe) . I'm not trying to convince anyone that the Book of Enoch should be included in the Bible. I think of it more as a reference to the bible. If you want to know what really happens when you die, you will find it in this book. Many near death experiences seem to show this to be true. Most people I know of that refer to the book of Enoch are firm that the book of Enoch should not be considered scriptural canon. the book of Jasher was in the apocrypha and according to Google was written long after biblical times yet Joshua 19:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18 both refer to the book of Jasher. I do not perceive the post as critically accurate concerning Giants because different translations use the word nephilim in place of giants. the author may be correct but does not present very good foundational frame work for his argument. Fragments of the book of Enoch were found in the dead sea scrolls so claiming the Jews did not hold to the book of Enoch is belied by the fact that they copied and stored the book of Enoch.

    • @BrotherBill
      @BrotherBill  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Book of Jasher as included in the apocrypha also lacks the antiquity required to be authentic (dating only to the inter-testament period and not the times of Joshua and Samuel. In Genesis 6:4 the word "nephilim" is translated giants, but the term is not used in reference to the children born to the daughters of men. Adherents to the Book of Enoch apply the term to the offspring of the relationships, but the Bible does not. I have not gone into detail on the "nephilim" because that will be the subject of a separate video I am working on.
      The Dead Sea Scrolls were preserved by the Essene sect of Qumran and not mainline Jews of the day. They were considered a fringe group that held views that the majority of the Jews found heretical. The Dead Sea Scrolls preserved many other non-canonical and secular writings, so even the fact that they preserved them really means nothing more than that it existed during the time they were residing in the region and it was something they felt worthy of preserving. It in no way indicates whether or not they included it in their canon.

      @@BrotherBill First off I discovered a typo in my prior response Joshua 19:13 should read Joshua 10:13 sorry.
      Other than women the bible does not give us any other source for the giants/nephilim than women being their mothers. "Sons of God" are indicated in Job before humans walked the earth so the "sons of God" in Genesis 6:1-4 are clearly elohim that are later found in the Bible. Ha satan later called Satan was of the same source. NO angels who are obedient do not marry and neither does it appear there would be a source for them to marry to.
      the book of Jasher as I pointed out earlier cam from sources in scritpure that long pre date inter testament times.
      Claiming that the Jews of the time of Christ's crucifixion were 'the source' for mainline theology of the time is not a good course either. It was the mainline Jews sophistry that deemed Jesus was an heretic and should be killed. The calendar of the Essene's was more in line with the calendar of when Passover was first given to the Hebrews to observe by some accounts.. I never suggested the Book of Enoch was canon and neither did I state anyone I know of did either. The book of Jasher was brought up to render the concept that the Torah or Septuagint were not the books that held Hebrew history.
      There are other scriptures that indicate that God employed angels, whether good or bad in man's eyes, to achieve God's purposes in his war against the rebel devils.

    Brother Bill what about the book of jasher is it false doctrine?

    • @BrotherBill
      @BrotherBill  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hello Gregory! I have never read the Book of Jasher, so I don't know what is in it to say for certain.This is why I would be leery of it anyway. First, it was never included in the canon of Scripture by the Jews or Christians. It is mentioned as a reference in Joshua and 1 Samuel, but it is questionable if the book of Jasher as we know it is the one referred to or even if it was truly written by Jasher. Even if the book is the legitimate one referred to in Scripture it was given as supporting documentation, not as inspired of God. There are several books like that mentioned in Scripture. These include the Book of the Wars of the Lord (Numbers 21:14), the Book of Samuel the Seer, the Book of Nathan the Prophet, and the Book of Gad the Seer (1 Chronicles 29:29). Also, there are the Acts of Rehoboam and the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah (1 Kings 14:29). We also know that Solomon composed more than a thousand songs (1 Kings 4:32), yet only two are preserved in the book of Psalms (72 and 127). Writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament, Paul included a quotation from the Cretan poet Epimenides (Titus 1:12) and quoted from the poets Epimenides and Aratus in his speech at Athens (Acts 17:28). Since these works are quoted in the Bible, at least these quotes are of value, though God chose not to include them in the Scriptures so we cannot be assured of their value beyond what is quoted. If the legitimate books were found, they might be interesting resources, but the would be of no more value than a book written by someone today. If of course the books we found were not authentic, they would be of little or no value.

It is called the book of the righteous upright.. from Creation, Abram to Joshua it explains what happened to them in their lives, how Abram Knew God all his life time before he became Abraham in the book of Genesis, The book of Jasher is the book of Genesis, May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit Amen.

      @@BrotherBill the word jasher ( the upright ) or the truthful ... this book was called the book of TRUTH ! Jasher was not a person ! Again they mistranslated the title ! same as the bible was not called the bible !
      as well as the word bible = History ! so if they translated the word bible then all would say history in your native language ! .. the christian sect is very picky and choosey over which words they translate as the words are from african dialects so often they do not have equivilencey as well as complex thought are woven in by knowing the original hierglypohs for the word which contain a deeper meaning and translation ! ...
      thre people of different period were in different cultures so the writing styles are different ! sometimes they are egyptian based and other they are acadaian / Sumarian based phrasing and sometime they are Sanscrit based words ( ie the word rabbai is actually the sanscrit version of Iman the arabic hebrew version ? why was the word Rabbai in the bible when the word was iman hence iman u el ( teacher chosen by God ) ! ?? jesus was also the teacher . so when the angel said people would call him imanuel ( or holy teacher ) ie imanuel why did peter call him Rabbai or raboni ! ( because the greeks did not want to add african or arab words to the bible hence hebrew ois a generated language !)

    What do you think of the multiple authors of Genesis theory Bro Bill. This is not graft welhausen. Henry morris popularized it. It says there are nine authors. Every time you hear these are the generations of it is the previous author signing off. It says all of the authors wrote their account and Moses compiled them and added his account. They would have presumably had to keep those records on the ark.

      It is called the toledoth theory. I strongly believe he is correct. Before anyone gets the wrong idea, this is different from the multiple authors in the book of Enoch. The difference is that Genesis does not claim to be the work of one individual. It is attributed to Moses as the final human author, but he was more of an editor than an author in Genesis.

      You are free to do that, despite anyone's warnings. I have read some of them...1 and 2 Maccabees for instance. As a former Catholic, I used to recite the Apostle's Creed. While you are at it, why don't you throw in the Book of Mormon, the Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita. After all, they also claim inspiration. (Incidentally, I have also read the first two of them.) I am not afraid of other writings. I have read enough of them to discern what meets the biblical standard for being of God and they do not. 1 and 2 Maccabees, for instance contain some good history, but also contradict much of Scripture and so are not inspired. In April, 1546 A.D. at the Council of Trent, the Catholic Church added the apocrypha (though not all the ones you listed) in for two reasons. First, they wanted to differentiate between theirs and the "Protestant" Bible. Second, those books support their teachings such as Purgatory and prayer/alms for the dead. Both are unscriptural apart from the apocrypha.

      Luke 20:23 (see Eno 15:7) directly discussing the angels and their married state.
      Jhn 14:2 (see Eno 41:2) discussing the "mansions" in heaven.

    Interesting, but an assertion is not an argument. You can show Gen 6 and read it and then tell us that there is no evidence that it says what it plainly says, but that is not making an argument. You need to go into it in more detail and take apart what the context is and what the Hebrew words are, because what you said that the scripture was not saying and what it appeared to be saying are two opposite things. You read it like it supports your view, but it appears not to.
    Not to mention that those who look at the book of Enoch, such as Heiser, do not assert that it should be canon. Heiser says that it should not. However, he asserts that it can help us to understand what New Testament authors were thinking because they were quite familiar with it. You don't mention Heiser by name but those who encounter him should not reject him based on the arguments made here. Many of them he would have agreed with.

      @BrotherBill there was no exact height of giants. They ranged from 7ft to whatever height. They also had different kinds of them like chimera. Lmfao why else would they have a flood? For sin, what kind of sin? Medical experiments and cross breeding of species. Also where did demons come from? Just randomly appeared on the earth?

    • @BrotherBill
      @BrotherBill  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      First, please refrain from using foul language (even abbreviated) in your comments or they will be removed going forward.
      The word demon does not appear int he King James Bible. They are called devils and they are the fallen angels that followed Lucifer (Satan). As for sin versus genetics, just look at the Bible. Genesis 6:5-8, "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD." Wickedness and evil pertain to sin, not genetics. Where in Scripture can you show me medical experiments and cross breeding of species. God made His creation to reproduce after their own kind. 1 Corinthians 15:39-40, "All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another." Genesis 1:24-25, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good." By the way, kind is more like family than species. Some species can cross breed. Lions and tigers can sometimes breed, but lions and elephants cannot.
      You are correct about giants in the Bible being over 7 feet tall, but the book of Enoch makes them out to be several orders of magnitude larger...either 4,500 or 450 feet tall. Goliath was a giant in the Bible. These other creatures are fairy tales.

    # 2 the jews took thier torah after the book of enoch was created !
    As you should know the torah surfaced around 1000 ad!
    There was the law of moses as well as other books such as the book of jasher also another book rejected :
    We need to realise that if colonization did not take place and we found the african ethiiopians today the book would include the history of selasi also !
    These books are a part of the old testiment , as in the past the first bible contained various scrools as well as the tor .. and when the gospel accounts surface these was also accepted without scrutiny !
    the other books of the new testment are not accepted by the original people , only todays christians , we can call this book the book of the gentiles : The quran also begun to suface in the 1000 also this was also a reply to the new testiment and gospels an the torah ! It was a dispute they did not belive wholy in the new testiment and gospels : they even decided to attempt to rewrite other older parts of the bible which also was not accepted : This book the quran would have been accepted but it does not acknowledge the son of god and mocks those of whom belive in the eternal life offered by the sacrifice of the lamb of god : As well as they do not understand the holy trinity ( ie halia selsai ) ...
    The sinai region is still i existance as it is a backbone of the world and is one of the highest ranges of mountains in the world : obviously the word sinai and its derivatives only occurs in ethiopia !
    hence when we translate this word it summounts to .. the TOWER ! .. or the TOR ! Same name as the bible as it was begun by moses , and the tor is where it was written ! ( these are a mountains in the rift ! ) we even know whewre the Actual Mountain or Tower was for moses speaking to the most high as well as being guifed to by the most high ~! ( erta alle ) another ethiopia mountain ( the glowing mountian ) ....
    the book of enoch was written by a divine inspiration or soimular to how the other books of the bible were written !
    Hence it forms a pat of the books of the mchurch of mechesdeck ! ( another ethiopian church group ) ! also in the same mountain Ranges : Perhaps you ignorant to the fact of ethioipia being the main heart of christianity as well as the kingdom of soloman .. as well as the foundation pof the aba people although they deny oiot ! Muhammed went to this king for safety ! ( he was the king of the region ! ethiiopia and arabia ( jordan ) .....But this is called the Dmt Culture by the west .. but its actually called the macabean culture ! And we should also realise that ras tafari makkonan ( the makkans are also mentioned in the bible ! as the people of the book as they did change thier names !
    We also find the ethiopian writing system and language tree comes from the heiroglyphs ! its basically the only language surviveing ( written in its original script ) which can claim this !
    Although other bantu languages previousy not written also are featured in heirglyphs and their languages can be found !
    the bible is a living book and the JEws ( the converts ) have not even accepted jesus christ so they cannot be refferencesd when using anything for validity as they are the converted gentiles todays synagog of ... As your supposed to know its impossible for those peope to be afro asiatic people as they are self confess russian kossak askenasi and in truth many are not even this they are simple russians !
    We already know the dna of the original jews as well as they were in the byuzantyne period ! Some even came to the ameica as crypto catholics im sure you have read your own anuals of history and accounts of the early forefathers of america !
    you will find they are alsways described as black as wellk as the adventurers who compared some indian tribes to henrew tribes as well as hebrew beiing another slur word for BLACK !
    Same as Barbarian ! ( a Part of the west coast fo afrcia ! ( the barbary coast on the medeterrainian ) ..
    In truth the book of enoch and the books of melchesdeck as well as the other dead sea scrolls are general from the same periods and the writer seem to be the same and use the same eterminiology !
    So these storys which have been ethioipian culutew for 1-2k years ! cannot be dismantled by your rehtoric ! as you may not realise most of the bible was not written by the people they say they are !
    often you will find they were written by seclusion and immersion ! ( someting which occurs on sinai today with preists who lock themself away inside the mountain caves writing or reading or meditating on the chosen phrophet !
    yes it stil exists today its called the toure ... also mentioned in the bible many times ! ( ie the towers ! ) ..... But becuuase of racisim the christians of today who have not awoken to the truh are still listening ot misguiders like youy !
    they dont even know the true name of GOD .. which obviousy your not worthy to know as you have rejected his book ! which also contains the reffeences to his holy name ! as your supposed to understand the story of enoch is about the high preist whom became an angel or did he and was he ordained as the holy spirit to be manefest on earth only to be given a body as meteron n!

    does the book of Enoch describe the Elect One as God in the Flesh? The living incarnate of God? If so... It is of God. If not... It's not. Jesus is God in the Flesh. Just ask the book of Jude.

    5 reasons to reject the O.T.
    Names and Titles
    Amun was given the title “King of the Gods” of Upper Egypt.
    Scholars discovered several different spellings of the name Amun in Egyptian literature. Some of the different spellings are Am,( I AM, )( Amen, ) Amon, Amoun, Ammon and Hammon.
    Other countries equated Amun with their own deities:
    Egyptians equated him with the god Min.
    The Greeks equated Amun with Zeus.
    The Romans equated him with Jupiter.
    Yahweh god of O.T.
    John 8 :44-45;
    44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
    45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

      We have found the skeletal remains of humans considerably larger than Goliath, but we have never found remains taller the the Burj Khalifa (a mere 2,722′)! If you want to believe in the Book of Enoch, you are free to do so, but you can't say you haven't been warned about it.

      God protected the book of Enoch for 1950 years in the dead sea caves
      I don't think we should be so quick to judge it
      If it says something that goes against the Bible it's false
      But you have bigger problems
      John 6 39 40 44 54
      Jesus says at the LAST DAY four times
      I don't know where Mystery Babylon convinced you the rapture was
      The church rapture is at judgement day
      Revelation 20 shows two resurrections
      Jesus put the wise Virgins at the end of the story every time
      Daniel 12 2 sounds like the LAST DAY
      John 5 29 sounds like the LAST DAY
      The church rapture is after the thousand year reign
      That's why you can't find one Bible verse that promised the thousand year reign to the church
      Revelation 20 4 thousand year reign

    Brother Bill can you comment on this new thing PRETERISM, I go back and forth with people that prophecy is being fullfilled now and in near future,they say it all happened i n 70AD,IM AT MY WITTS END TRYING TO SHOW THEM ITS FALSE TEACHINGS

    • @BrotherBill
      @BrotherBill  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I've discussed that topic in a few live streams (What's Your Paradigm? Parts 1 and 2 and Amillennial Mistake). Basically to come to Preterist view one must allegorize a lot of Scripture. The Preterest generally holds to Replacement or Covenant Theology where the church is seen as fulfilling the promises God gave to Israel. It robs Israel of her future salvation and denies that the people in modern Israel are the Jews of the Old Testament. By the way, Preterism is nothing new. It has been around for centuries. Those who hold to Amillennialism and Post-Millennialism hold to either the preterist or historicist view. Preterism says that end times prophecy was fulfilled in the first and/or second century. The historicist says that it was fulfilled through the centuries of persecution suffered by the church. The prophecies regarding Israel are the clearest ways to debunk the preterist or historicist, but they are generally reluctant to listen to a contrary point of view. Eventually you may just have to accept that someone will not listen. Matthew 7:6, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Sometimes it is just better to agree to disagree and move on with life.
