You explain the importance of trigger settings and one shot screen capture really well here. The hantek is not a bad tool, but its only as good as the person using it. That can hi (6) and can low (14), I hear what you are saying there, I think of it like the shape of the obd11 plug in the car. It's plug is shaped like a child may draw a small ⛵ (without the sails) then if you were to draw that and write the numbers on the boat from left to right ( the same way we read a book) the 6 would be on the top line ( can hi) and the 14 would be on the bottom line (can low). This helps me remember that 6 is can hi, The way I have tried to explain it may make me sound crazy. Thanks Ian 👍
@@carlosvallejo4326 I suppose it would depend on the circuit under scrutiny…External BNC coupling filters (with respect to the Hantek 1008) can be purchased at very reasonable cost. Should they be required. Cheers 👍

Pretty simple Denis. But maybe it didn’t occur to some. Cheers Pal 👍
@@TheGibby3340 my last video made use of SINGLE capture mode but I've never thought of using it for CAN work as you've shown here. It's a good tip!
Great work

Thx Stephane
Very simple, but so clever. Sometimes, the simple things, are very advanced.
subscribe yes.
Thank you very much indeed. Cheers 👍
Please do me a favor. Please show and include the hook up from the device to the osiliscope or vice versal. Thank you.

good idea shorting 2.5V(3.5v) line to 12 volts.
Some will scoff at the stupidity. Others will get the point about the bus being fault tolerant.
Are you using AC or DC coupling?
Hantek 1008 doesn't have AC coupling option. Cheers 👍
@@TheGibby3340 that does not have AC coupling, causes an incorrect diagnosis?
