Hurricane Milton spawns at least 20 tornadoes across Florida

- Hurricane Milton caused some of the worst damage long before it made landfall as the storm is blamed for at least 20 tornadoes across Florida. One of them caused heavy damage and some deaths in Fort Pierce on the Atlantic Coast, more than 100 miles from the hurricane zone.

Tornados have 2X the wind speed of a Cat 4 hurricane, and a lot more destructive power; winds in a tornado are 200-300 mph.
Yeah, then imagine being hit by 2X the tornadoes. 🤯

Oversite and overhaul all these insurance companies. Flood insurance should not cost extra. Period! It’s like a car insurance company saying we will not cover you if your car get hit by a suv or truck.

Thank goodness we can listen to a reporter who clearly states the facts and speaks normally, without listening to others worldwide who speak so unnaturally, stressing at the end of every word they say as if every word they say, is followed by a full stop. There are some schools you can go to, surprised they don't mention it. Bad reporting there
Awful advice, especially with the road backups. It was fish in a barrel. Ryan weather said stay where you are and hide, better advice.

this was the east coast of florida.. the hurricane entered on the west coast and it didnt even make landfall until hours after the tornados hit. this was completely unexpected.
They should have made like a tree and got out of there 🥺
It wasn’t an evac area hello? What do you expect 22 million Floridians to evacuate on a couple roads?. They got hit by a tornado no where near the path of the storm. Apply listening skills and common sense

We know that but those people who were put in harm's way because of bad reporting. Didn't have a chance of surviving the cat 4 part of the storm. I saw footage of those tornadoes it gave me PTSD just looking at them. It was a night of pure hell for those folks getting those BACK, TO BACK, TO BACK , TO BACK TORNADO WARNINGS. Talking about dropping the ball.

I heard the Governor and Mayors tell ppl to evacuate,one mayor said if you don’t evacuate,you will die.

Get an interview of what it felt like to be not to be told to evacuate. The storm was a cat 4 when it first was over Florida, with 130 mph winds. Also, ask them what it was like psychologically going thru the storm while getting hit with multiple tornadoes. And, give us a regional prospect of what those people were going thru up and down Tornado Alley created by the first half the cat 4 part of the hurricane. What it also felt like to get hit by tornadoes and still had to endure the cat 3 portion of the storm.

Tornadoes are spotty Evacuate to where...these are slab houses... are schools open for shelters. Cities do not anticipate opening shelters as fast as needed. Everything is chain linked fences every school property is fenced shut?
