Method：
1. Check iPhone Settings:
- Go to Cellular Settings and ensure automatic network selection.
- Verify date, time settings, and enable "Set Automatically."
2. Turn Off & On Airplane Mode:
- Simple yet effective. Toggle Airplane Mode off and on.
3. Re-insert SIM Card:
- Check for correct placement and try another SIM card if available.
4. Update iPhone System:
- Check for system updates and install them if available.
5. Reset Network Settings:
- In General Settings, reset network settings for WiFi and cellular.
6. Erase All Content & Settings (Backup first!):
- Advanced step, only if necessary. Backup before erasing.

If none works, then connect to finder or itunes with the new SIM inside. Click to restore device . Make sure this is done with a computer. When the restore is done , the phone will set up as new and it will activate the SIM over the computer connecting to the server . When you restore , make sure you have it backed up with icloud or itunes before.

We have Verizon as a carrier but xfinity wifi. I dont know if its just zero Verizon towers around but my iphone new or old never has more than 1 bar top right. Wifi is strong and we pay alot

True fix. Back up your phone then go to settings then back up settings. Then restore to factory settings. Once it boots back up log into Wi-Fi. You made need to restart it again. Then sign into iCloud and restore your back up
Mine just says error for cellular and Wi-Fi is greyed out. I can’t even access any WiFi network.

No one tip worked😢 but my issue was that i had no service but if i turn on and the turn off plane mode, my iphone had network signal but then disappeared by itself, i had two sims, one sim an an e sim, i just erased the e-sim and wonderfully it worked!!!😅

Guys after days and hours just water and back up and restore the phone ! It worked for me

If you purchase your iPhone used then I have bad news for ya. It appears that people or used cell phone shops are selling used iPhone that are currently activated and unlocked. Then after a few months (after any store warranty) the phone is reported as “lost or broken” and the phone service is “locked”.
Real shady business if you ask me, I already contacted BBB and let them know if this. Had to make a threat to be taken seriously.
