@@JohnBuildsIt I meant: Usually wood working projects are "grandma-style" tables, cabinets etc. It's refreshing to see someone finally entering the modern age and doing it tastefully too. It was a compliment, in case you wondered...👍
Matches nicely with the hot tub. I don’t know if this would work with pvc and that adhesive but with wood and wood glue what you can do is put masking tape on the faces, where the glue squeezes out, and remove the tape to mitigate the squeeze out.
John, excellent video man. I’ve been following for a while and have seen your channel grown-and I’m a picky DIYer always checking out TH-cam videos. Keep up with the engaging content!
Interesting build. Keep us updated on how it holds up. Only worry I'd have is how well the screws will hold over time in the PVC (like the hinge screws). - Chris
I never even thought about using PVC this way. Excellent idea and excellent video. Thank you! I'm surprised that PVC can be used so much like wood. I know it is very early, but how is it holding up? Is it all strong enough?
Imagine living somewhere you can build stuff like this without worrying about it all being completely destroyed by the weekly summer storm. I'm jealous.
I really like this idea, you could use this for a number of outdoor projects. Any idea how paint would hold up that stuff? The only thing I can see around me ( no Menards) is white only.
Very neat idea, I get why you were adamant on using pvc for the majority of the build because it’s next to your hot tub and to maintain wood would be annoying. It really looks slick yet simple and clean and went beautifully with the hot tub
I like this build. Glad to see it will be in the shade since PVC tends to absorb tons of heat in direct sunlight. Did you also make the step for the spa or was that included?
The timbertech deck boards stay really cool, but yea the black trim can definitely get hot haha. And they’re the metal steps that came with the spa, I just screwed the deck boards on top from underneath 👍🏽
@@JohnBuildsIt I've heard Kyle from rrbuildings say that as well. I have looked at them at Menards but didn't want another battery platform, in addition to Milwaukee.
Sweet build, my guy! Been intimidated by PVC but you have given me the confidence to build some outdoor furniture!
Clever, clever. clever idea. And then there's your typical flawless execution. Really well done.
Thank you!!
Well done! Such a nice clean design and finished piece.
Thank you!!
Looks great, nice design.

Once again you absolutely nail the design in aesthetics and function. Great job dude!
Thanks man!!
Such a cool build. Wish I had a Maynard’s near me. They have some cool shit.
Definitely!
Looks awesome! Great job.

Wow. This really looks factory made with custom parts. Good design.
Thank you!!
Very nice! Finally not a Grandma-Design build from a wood worker...
Keep up the good work!😉
Haha not sure what that means but thank you! 😂

Oh my... i might have to build one myself. Great job!
Thank you!
Nice work John. I wonder if painters tape on the doors would protect against the glue melting the PVC. It seems like a cool material to work with.
I tried that and it just made a mess too lol
Looks great
Thank you!

Yep I tried that and it made even more of a mess haha
This is awesome ❤❤❤

Me too with my young kids getting their toys out 😂 I did put some glue on the screws too though when I moved into place and reinstalled

Great build! That PVC trim is very expensive, but it's hard to beat the durability. The hot tub area looks relaxing!
For sure! Thankful I didn’t have to spend much out of pocket for it haha
Fantastic John
I’m in the same boat as you were in. Great job on the spicy hot tub. Looks like I’m gonna have to duplicate your build 👍
Thanks for watching!

You can supposedly paint the white pvc but I’ve never tried it. Just doesn’t seem like a good idea to me, don’t know though!

That would be great to do a outdoor kitchen with if you could keep it from melting
Wish I had more space out there to figure out a way!
Nice work. How are you going to keep chemicals in there? Won't mice or bugs get in?
Everything is in sealed containers

Metabo? How many impact brands do you need? Lol, nice build!
😂 that Metabo triple hammer is legit!

Awesome project, but I'm definitely missing the voiceover from you
Thanks for the feedback!
This does not look custom sad to say looks like you ordered it from Home Depot
Post the Home Depot link then 😂
