Beautiful, Jenna. I love the mountains. I live in NC near to the Great Smokies. Here the mountains are green and lush most of the year. Take your family on a vacation and come stand in amazement of the wonders of the Blue Ridge. Thanks for inspiring me to get out the old palette knife and scrape in some trees!
IYouve created lovely depth for beginners to follow along with. Thats always the tricky part. Getting the mountain not to look flat on the page I love painting mountainscapes, the slopes of table mountain hug the city. When you fly in to Cape Town everybody gasps at the view, i always look at it and think of coming home. lol every business in cape town uses the mountain as their logo, they could literally be a plumber and they've got a line drawing of table mountain plastered on their car. We're pretty patriotic about our mountains 🏔🚠⛰🌄
@@JennaRaineyChannel they are! they're flat like a table, with a layer of clouds that act like a table cloth. The sides of the mountain are flanked by a lions head (its like the it spot for celebrities to hike) and on the other side is a mountain called devils peak.
You have taught me so much and I am only 3 videos in. Wow. I am 65 and picked up watercolors a few weeks ago as an add-on hobby to greeting card creation. You are Amazing. Happy Belated-Birthday to your Husband. Thank you both.
My happy place here on the east coast is in Stowe, VT. The mountains and the valleys, trees and water (with a cow here and there, lol). So peaceful and beautiful.
This was really helpful Jenna ❤️ We live in Northern Ontario Canada and are surrounded by thousands of small deep lakes. We don’t have mountains but lots and lots of hills and granite rocks. I am new to watercolour and I hope to paint my favourite lakes this summer. Thanks for sharing your passion with us!
Happy birthday John! I live about 15 mins from Lake Guntersville, in Alabama off the Tennessee River. It's beautiful! I have spent many hours there especially as a kid. I loved this landscape and I plan on trying it soon. Thank you both.
Hi Jenna, I'm Sibylle from Germany. I just discovered your videos and I think they're great. Very helpful for beginners like me. (My husband and I went to Yosemite park five years ago and we fell in love too.) Best regards from Germany
Thanks Jenna, we are in Colorado with gorgeous mountains out the door of our travel trailer. I couldn’t figure out how to translate what I see on paper. This has been a great help.
That was so much fun!!!This landscape reminds me of home. I live in Oregon. I too love the mountains and trees. This is my first attempt at a piece like this. Really enjoyed it. Thank you :)
I ended up using the backend of my size 2 Princeton Heritage brush to make those scratch/lines in the trees and it worked really well! Question - do you have paper tearing issues when you peel up your 3M tape? I tried not pressing it down this time really at all and still had some ripping.
Hi Jenna! love this little landscape painting! :) I'm preparing myself for a mountain landscape fathers day card and this will be a nice inspiration 👏👏😊 love the way you painted reflection in the water 😍 thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day! Marija 💖😊💖
Love your tutorials. Reminds me when we went to Banff, Alberta, Canada a couple of years ago, we traveled to Lake Moraine (near Lake Louise), glacial waters, the water was aquamarine in color, it was so beautiful. Trying to attach a pic, can't do it

I would love to see a watercolor of the beach at sunset when it's all soft and muted in color. PACIFIC City Oregon has those kind of sunset.
