Darci buff just adds more fireteam potential damage. So one guy runs Gjallerhorn and another runs DARCI. Once all rockets are used, swap to snipers. This combo could be potentially evil with Autoload perks + Bait n Switch rockets and snipers both. Rapid Fire Frames especially like Critical Anomaly and Supremecy might have a new damage rotation effect with this change if you use it with Apex Preditor
i feel like the amount of damage you would use by having someone on darci instead of a rocket is probably more than the amount you would gain by having the darci buff
Secant Filaments can be nutty because unlike Briarbinds, you aren't put into a position to go retrieve your Void Soul. It means you can have healing OR empowering rift, energy regen from the Void Soul, the weaken effect of the Void Soul, the health bump from Devour, the grenade regen from Devour, AND rift energy refund from Devour now as well as making your weapons be Overloading. It's a very Swiss Army Knife exotic
Brother casting Healing Rift literally doesn't do anything different with Secant equipped, the exotic perk requires you to cast an Empowering Rift to give you the Devour. You won't get Devour, you can't extend the Devour from Secants because you don't have it to begin with, and standing/reentering the Rift does nothing because it didn't do anything to begin with.
@@JJroks543 Brother, read the description again. Devour is now modified to give you back rift energy as an inherent trait of the boots now. It doesn't matter if you have the empowering rift to get the devour effect. This is why it makes your building much more flexible.
yes, new glaives would be nice. It'd also be cool if new archtypes would change up the 3 hit combo; maybe one with a rapid 7 hit combo, or a super hard hitting slow 1 hit not a combo
They just need to give every glaive the special reload thing to have a mini game while playing this weapon. Agressive frames could get something like a fusion or shotgun blast, rapid fire maybe a target seeking rapid fire shot , something like arc buddy. And adaptive could get their element type as a melee attack type for a certain time to not completey destroy build crafting when using glaives
There was a leak awhile back that the Europa weapons were gonna get a perk refresh but honestly I don’t know how true that would be, the planetary weapons outside of the dreaming city are all just meh but fingers crossed that this is the first hint of what’s to come
With all the buffs arc got it’s probably gonna be the dominant element in Heresy, but we also haven’t had strand in a minute so maybe it can be the secondary element
Ive wanted a corialis force and agressive fusion rework for a while glad to see they did something though im sad they changed how the weapon works instead of just fixing the hit reg on it or damage
As a void hunter main, I am curious to see how gwisin plays out. With all the ways to go invis and weapons that give buffs when defeating a debuffed enemy, I think it could be strong
Could be interesting on Swords actually. Attacking out of stealth to activate the weakening cloud and getting back to stealth. With the new aspect this could let you hop from crowd to crowd with weapons like heartshadow or guillotine
We really need some more diversification for enemy and boss design so that different weapons shine more on different bosses. For instances if we got a boss that floats at a decent distance from you with a large crit spot and it actively evades projectile weapons like rockets and grenades, then we have a prefect reason to choose sniper rifles and linear fusions for that fight. And reversely give us enemies that are lethal at range and attempt to keep you at range, but don’t have strong melee capabilities(no bs stomp mechanic) and you instantly have a boss that swords and shotguns become the most ideal. Or use an idea they have done before with the shield brothers where they have a large bubble shield that makes long range damage impossible and explosives very dangerous to use inside the shield.
2:20 oh boy, Fallout getting freaky 21:07 Spirit of Filaments and Spirit of Starfire, I've been aiming for that roll for so long, still haven't gotten it. The only issue is that if you have the Facet of Protection buff on, you can't get Devour from Emp Rift.
There are obviously a lot of better options but i could see the radient dance machine buff allow you to spam marksman dodge becoming a rocket and granade hose. It could be fun to try out in mid level content.
I think the Lorentz Driver change is fine in PvP. The LFR nerfs that made it bad are still in place and now you just get rewarded for getting good with it.
Glaive buffs are pretty nice here, especially with the double damage on the final hit of the combo. In the past the best melee-DPS you could achieve was by animation cancelling after 2 hits and go back into the beginning of the cycle. So this simplifies things. Stat boosts are also neat as glaives really need a lot of support in things like handling and reload speed to feel good. Some perks are also mandatory at the moment that render the unique-ness of glaives into something less unique. Amplified Impulse is S+ tier on glaives for everything it does as it addresses the weakest parts of glaives in terms of feeling. Exotic class glaives having a bit more ad clear potential is really nice though it probably won't push the needle that far. If Bungie were to update the crafting pool with a couple of options , then that would change a lot for glaive enthusiast atleast.
Darci will be good for raid/dungeon races where Heavy ammo will not drop. King’s fall Warpreist is what im thinking. This will let the first dps phase or the second one be all special cracked damage then let everyone use their heavy’s during another phase
I've been so pissed at Citan's for the unnecessary nerfs it gave to barricades, it didn't feel exotic at all. They look sick though w/ the ornament so I'm glad I can actually use them now
I love the storm dancers brace buff, but can we please get an ionic blink similar to nova warp blink. Either way definitely gonna be farming for a godroll storm dancers brace for these upcoming changes
Just thinking with Kephri's Horn could be really good on Prismatic... Simply put, you might be getting Sunspots on Prismatic Titan, which could be REALLY good for fast ability regen, fast Light Transcendence regen. A thought?
Radiant dance machines were in a decent and fun place in the sandbox. Not really in the spotlight, but being a fun and nice alternative to play around with. I don't think the changes listed are going to help it, in fact quite the opposite.
What kills me about Bungie, is they STILL - to this day - they still write-up changes on paper, call them good, and then launch that shit without any legitimate sandbox testing.

I stopped playing about two weeks into revenant simply because I wasn't enjoying the day to day, however I have been missing some aspects of the game and it seems like bungie is trying to revitalize the game in new ways which im pretty excited to see, even bigger changes coming in the summer I think?
Glaives... is that 2x dmg on 3rd hit of melee combo really going to make it worth doing the natural 3 hit combo? Or is the "hold shield spam melee" 2 hit speedy combo still going to technically do more damage as its a faster overall animation cycle?
Anyone taking bets on how many of these new changes will end up getting exotics disabled within the first days of release? I'm guessing at least three will get deactivated for some amount of time.
37:00 I really don't get why everyone hated lorentz... you still had to aim and one eyed mask, among other things, gave an equal amount of wallhax... like its just charge up cloudstrike but super accessible coz season pass, now that all the wallhax giving things have been nerfed, it'd be good for lorentz to come back as a niche precision pick edit; 38:00 I thought they'd alter it but this makes delicate tomb the only fusion in the game with a horizontal spreadfire now, with the ag fram changes... neat :D edit2; 53:00 I really wish they'd stop with the hipfire to alt fire gimmick, it works for choir of one but theyve done it to all the bows... verglas curve and hierarchy especially would work so much better if you could actually hipfire them without wasting their gimmick shot

That Khepri's change sucks so much. That thing was a core exotic for my Strand Titan in PVP because of Lash. Why would they make that last change to it it doesn't make any sense
Don't worry, there won't be a PvP glaive meta. Glaives have a huge stigma around them and big learning curves against players. People will try them out for a couple of games, give up, and go back to their shotguns
Hi! Long time Fusion Rifle Enthusiast and Jotunn Main here. Being a lover of Fusion Rifles i was SUPER excited when i got a new Fusion Rifle to play with in Beyond Light that wasnt Jotunn so i could work other exotics into my builds. Boy ooh boy was i severely disappointed when i got my hands on my first Coralis Force. Fantastic idea but it fell soooooo short. Awful recoil unlike ANY Fusion, awful dmg because of its horizontal spread and each bolt doing fuck all unless ALL bolts connect with a target... If this "revamp" makes it more like a Legendary Baby Bastion then damnit im fucking in!
Glaive has too many hard counters to be meta PvP. Conditional and witherhoard counter shield outright, and you are highly vulnerable to cc since glaives depend more on fast movement than any other strategy in the game.
The turret would generate orbs and proc ember of benevolence when it hit people with full health, so in that sense it’s a nerf, but it will also make it easier to heal to allies like you said

With the DARCI change... i dont know why but im smelling a whiff of a new set of Legendary HEAVY Sniper Rifles... unless the DARCI granted buffs are enough to make special snipers do heavy equivalent damage.
So many cool changes, and lightning themed perks to favorite old classics.... but they still wont make my sweet boi riskrunner work with my arc key words :P
The class glaive changes are a MASSIVE nerf, not a buff. Right now, with 2 Lucent Blades mods, it only takes 3 shots to charge the special shot. Bungie is doubling that to 6, essentially cutting the power of these glaives in HALF! The changes are going to kill the glaives, not buff them.
Unless I’m mistaken you will also be able to build the special shot with melee hits in addition to projectile hits, so I feel you’ll be able to use fairly frequently
@ It does build off of melee hits, but it still takes 6 total hits now, instead of 3. And if you want to try and use the melee to stack it up, you have to put yourself in clobbering and stomping range of enemies. It’s basically suicide outside of patrol level content. On top of that, even in low level content where it’s safe to go in for melee hits, it still takes more time to run up to enemies and melee them than to just safely and quickly fire 3 shots at them from any range.
Needs a lot of NEW stuff not slightly different stuff just new and not bad at first. Spamming the same old stuff just because it’s on prism is making the game stale.
I understand feeling burned out with the game and feeling cynical based on its current state, but I genuinely don't get what the purpose of making comments like these is. It's perfectly fine being done with the game, but this just seems like a waste of your own time.
Glaives are so broken in PvE yet people refuse to use them, lol. I absolutely love it. Please keep ignoring them so they can just get more and more broken.

As someone who likes Ursa that change is not interesting, You use grenade energy to get grenade energy why would I want that? Just to block again? At least I cycle between my ult and Unbreakable with super charge
Unbreakable with ursa grants nearly no super energy (After a full like 20 seconds you get like max 8%) why would you use it over doomfang which basically gives your entire super in 3 melee kills? There's 0 reason to use it other than the speed penalty removal. Btw they massively buffed unbreakable in a previous twab stuff like more damage, not using all of your grenade energy, increased how fast it gets to max damage, increased hp, void overshield gain increased. Also you can generate like 100x more super energy in 5 seconds with your gun than you could with ursa and unbreakable.
@ fair enough I realize I didn’t know how much ult charge I got back from what I experienced I always ended up having more than 30% of my super in a single “cast” of Unbreak granted I also like just “Grabbing aggro” and “Tanking” more than Consecration spam, spawning 300+ orbs in a GM is funny to see, maybe I’ll end up liking it being able to spam it more
I definitely feel like the change to Unbreakable with Ursa is completely unwanted. You damn near had infinite grenade energy in pve already with ursa. Is the exotic not all about super spam? Very unwanted change in my eyes
No you don't have infinite grenade with unbreakable if you release it or holding it for to long Also using ursa with unbreakable doesn't even give much super energy So this change to ursa is so good depending on how much grenade energy we get
@ it actually does give a fantastic amount of super energy when used in high level content. Alongside sprint cancelling the ability and the most recent buffs to unbreakable you can literally stand in the middle of high end content ads and just soak damage for an incredible amount of time while getting super AND making orbs. When using Ursa you shouldn’t be using the blast anyway because it’s does such low damage. The reason it’s not seeing enough play is simply because most of the community doesn’t know how the aspect actually works with Ursa

@ 20% super for doing absolutely nothing but standing still on an exotic that’s BUILT around super spam. That’s the entire point of using the exotic lol. You can watch any video about ursa + unbreakable, there’s no need for the extra grenade energy unless you are spamming the blasts which we know isn’t what Ursa is all about. Gives us another exotic that builds into blasting enemies with unbreakable then, don’t change the whole build that’s already there.

20:53 an idea I had for this change immediately was a constant Hellion mortar build with prismatic warlock and maybe combine it with Spirit of Vespers if using Rifts. Unfortunately, Inmost Light and Filaments are in the same column for Solipsism so it can't combine those two
OH... MY... GOD... Is this the return of the Linear Boss Dmg Meta?! THANK THE FUCKING TRAVELER!!! I am SO sick and tired of this Heavy GL Meta,... sure its good dmg, nice and bursty, big chunks... BUT HOLY CHRIST PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO STAND THE FUCK STILL WHILE DPSING WITH HGLs!!! The number of times i have died because some wiggly moron (usually a hunter) cant stand still for 10 seconds for a short dps window... like the Planets Boss for example, short dps windows so losing even one person can screw up a fast run. Good thing ive been farming out the recent few LFRs for the Envious(assassin or arsenal) and Bait & Switch... its gonna be amazing!
What would you give it? Scorch? Getting the explosion on scorched kills/hits? Or just give it a double ignition? I think they could make it a support frame bow and the hipfire targets allies to heal them maybe.
@DeadMansTale92 yeah support bow would be awesome, even if it just helps your squad with building up just enough scorch stacks on targets with hipfires so your squad can trigger explosions and incandescent on the explosive kills with ads with the casuality stacks causing more scorch or bigger aoe. Maybe even just causing more scorch with perfect drawn headshots that scale with casuality stacks that could lead to ignitions on sustained damage on single targets.Not to op and would help to trigger aspects and fragments.
One thing I will say about that Rocket Launcher is that I am interested in a Envious Arsenal and Bipod roll if someone is running Gjally. You have two rockets in the pipe, you shoot them out, swap to first weapon, damage, swap to second, damage, swap to Rocket, shoot both rockets, and keep the rotation going until you either run out or DPS ends. What's most interesting to me is the possible synergy with Wolfpack Rounds. The fact that you won't need to reload with the Rocket thanks to E.A., means you have Wolfpack going out constantly, adding more DPS in a damage check or overall DPS. I think this is a underrated combo that I'm deffo going to go for if I have the time. This combination just has DPS possibilities that can be expanded thanks to a GHorn. Probably not comparable to Apex Predator, but I hope it can definitely measure up as a solid option if you don't have Apex (like I don't).
idk what the thought process was with Ursa Furiosa. feels very counter productive since you can get your grenade energy back in like 20 seconds with void's devour.

It only took a year but warlocks finally got a buff. If bungie just gives me a damn ornament to Verity's after 5 years ill be happy

That Khepri's change sucks so much. That thing was a core exotic for my Strand Titan in PVP because of Lash. Why would they make that last change to it it doesn't make any sense
Don't worry, there won't be a PvP glaive meta. Glaives have a huge stigma around them and big learning curves against players.
People will try them out for a couple of games, give up, and go back to their shotguns

Hi! Long time Fusion Rifle Enthusiast and Jotunn Main here. Being a lover of Fusion Rifles i was SUPER excited when i got a new Fusion Rifle to play with in Beyond Light that wasnt Jotunn so i could work other exotics into my builds. Boy ooh boy was i severely disappointed when i got my hands on my first Coralis Force. Fantastic idea but it fell soooooo short. Awful recoil unlike ANY Fusion, awful dmg because of its horizontal spread and each bolt doing fuck all unless ALL bolts connect with a target...
If this "revamp" makes it more like a Legendary Baby Bastion then damnit im fucking in!

Glaive has too many hard counters to be meta PvP. Conditional and witherhoard counter shield outright, and you are highly vulnerable to cc since glaives depend more on fast movement than any other strategy in the game.
Is that speakers change really a nerf? Doesn’t seem like it since being next to the turret is no longer a detriment
The turret would generate orbs and proc ember of benevolence when it hit people with full health, so in that sense it’s a nerf, but it will also make it easier to heal to allies like you said

With the DARCI change... i dont know why but im smelling a whiff of a new set of Legendary HEAVY Sniper Rifles... unless the DARCI granted buffs are enough to make special snipers do heavy equivalent damage.
So many cool changes, and lightning themed perks to favorite old classics.... but they still wont make my sweet boi riskrunner work with my arc key words :P
The class glaive changes are a MASSIVE nerf, not a buff. Right now, with 2 Lucent Blades mods, it only takes 3 shots to charge the special shot. Bungie is doubling that to 6, essentially cutting the power of these glaives in HALF! The changes are going to kill the glaives, not buff them.
Unless I’m mistaken you will also be able to build the special shot with melee hits in addition to projectile hits, so I feel you’ll be able to use fairly frequently
@ It does build off of melee hits, but it still takes 6 total hits now, instead of 3. And if you want to try and use the melee to stack it up, you have to put yourself in clobbering and stomping range of enemies. It’s basically suicide outside of patrol level content. On top of that, even in low level content where it’s safe to go in for melee hits, it still takes more time to run up to enemies and melee them than to just safely and quickly fire 3 shots at them from any range.

Needs a lot of NEW stuff not slightly different stuff just new and not bad at first. Spamming the same old stuff just because it’s on prism is making the game stale.

Glaives are so broken in PvE yet people refuse to use them, lol. I absolutely love it. Please keep ignoring them so they can just get more and more broken.
This patch has me genuinely so excited to play next season, every change seems awesome and they buffed/reworked a lot of my favorite gear/exotics that needed some love

As someone who likes Ursa that change is not interesting, You use grenade energy to get grenade energy why would I want that? Just to block again? At least I cycle between my ult and Unbreakable with super charge
Unbreakable with ursa grants nearly no super energy (After a full like 20 seconds you get like max 8%) why would you use it over doomfang which basically gives your entire super in 3 melee kills? There's 0 reason to use it other than the speed penalty removal. Btw they massively buffed unbreakable in a previous twab stuff like more damage, not using all of your grenade energy, increased how fast it gets to max damage, increased hp, void overshield gain increased.
Also you can generate like 100x more super energy in 5 seconds with your gun than you could with ursa and unbreakable.
@ fair enough I realize I didn’t know how much ult charge I got back from what I experienced I always ended up having more than 30% of my super in a single “cast” of Unbreak granted I also like just “Grabbing aggro” and “Tanking” more than Consecration spam, spawning 300+ orbs in a GM is funny to see, maybe I’ll end up liking it being able to spam it more

I definitely feel like the change to Unbreakable with Ursa is completely unwanted. You damn near had infinite grenade energy in pve already with ursa. Is the exotic not all about super spam?

No you don't have infinite grenade with unbreakable if you release it or holding it for to long
Also using ursa with unbreakable doesn't even give much super energy
So this change to ursa is so good depending on how much grenade energy we get
@ it actually does give a fantastic amount of super energy when used in high level content.
Alongside sprint cancelling the ability and the most recent buffs to unbreakable you can literally stand in the middle of high end content ads and just soak damage for an incredible amount of time while getting super AND making orbs. When using Ursa you shouldn’t be using the blast anyway because it’s does such low damage.
The reason it’s not seeing enough play is simply because most of the community doesn’t know how the aspect actually works with Ursa

With the recent roaming super buff you gain way more super energy from actually fighting than blocking for too long just for 20% energy

@ 20% super for doing absolutely nothing but standing still on an exotic that’s BUILT around super spam. That’s the entire point of using the exotic lol.
You can watch any video about ursa + unbreakable, there’s no need for the extra grenade energy unless you are spamming the blasts which we know isn’t what Ursa is all about. Gives us another exotic that builds into blasting enemies with unbreakable then, don’t change the whole build that’s already there.

20:53 an idea I had for this change immediately was a constant Hellion mortar build with prismatic warlock and maybe combine it with Spirit of Vespers if using Rifts. Unfortunately, Inmost Light and Filaments are in the same column for Solipsism so it can't combine those two

BUT HOLY CHRIST PEOPLE NEED TO LEARN TO STAND THE FUCK STILL WHILE DPSING WITH HGLs!!! The number of times i have died because some wiggly moron (usually a hunter) cant stand still for 10 seconds for a short dps window... like the Planets Boss for example, short dps windows so losing even one person can screw up a fast run.

@DeadMansTale92 yeah support bow would be awesome, even if it just helps your squad with building up just enough scorch stacks on targets with hipfires so your squad can trigger explosions and incandescent on the explosive kills with ads with the casuality stacks causing more scorch or bigger aoe. Maybe even just causing more scorch with perfect drawn headshots that scale with casuality stacks that could lead to ignitions on sustained damage on single targets.Not to op and would help to trigger aspects and fragments.
One thing I will say about that Rocket Launcher is that I am interested in a Envious Arsenal and Bipod roll if someone is running Gjally. You have two rockets in the pipe, you shoot them out, swap to first weapon, damage, swap to second, damage, swap to Rocket, shoot both rockets, and keep the rotation going until you either run out or DPS ends.
What's most interesting to me is the possible synergy with Wolfpack Rounds. The fact that you won't need to reload with the Rocket thanks to E.A., means you have Wolfpack going out constantly, adding more DPS in a damage check or overall DPS. I think this is a underrated combo that I'm deffo going to go for if I have the time. This combination just has DPS possibilities that can be expanded thanks to a GHorn. Probably not comparable to Apex Predator, but I hope it can definitely measure up as a solid option if you don't have Apex (like I don't).
idk what the thought process was with Ursa Furiosa. feels very counter productive since you can get your grenade energy back in like 20 seconds with void's devour.
