Today we will drive Alpine.
From Wikipedia:
Alpine is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is located 15 miles (24 km) north of midtown Manhattan. It is the easternmost community in the state of New Jersey.
As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 1,849 reflecting a decline of 334 (−15.3%) from the 2,183 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 467 (+27.2%) from the 1,716 counted in the 1990 Census.
In 2012, Forbes ranked Alpine as America's most expensive ZIP Code with a median home price of $4.25 million, after being ranked 4th in the magazine's 2010 listing of "America's Most Expensive ZIP Codes", with a median home price of $3,814,885. In 2009, Forbes ranked Alpine first, along with Greenwich, Connecticut, with a median home price of $4.14 million. Alpine was tied with Greenwich for first in both 2006 and 2007 on the ABC News list of most expensive ZIP Codes, with a median home sale price of $3.4 million. In 2019, PropertyShark ranked Alpine as the 53rd most expensive ZIP Code in the country with a median sales price of $1,785,000, a drop from a ranking of 33rd nationwide in 2018 due to a decline of 19% in sales prices. Based on data from the 2006-2010 American Community Survey, the borough had a per-capita income of $107,604, ranked second in the state.
New Jersey Monthly magazine ranked Alpine as its 15th best place to live in its 2008 rankings of the "Best Places To Live" in New Jersey.
Alpine was formed by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 8, 1903, from portions of Harrington Township. The borough acquired a portion of Cresskill in 1904. The borough's name came from the wife of journalist Charles Nordhoff, who found the setting reminiscent of the Swiss Alps.

Seems very quite wish it had more sidewalks for pedestrians I know it’s a driving neighborhood but sometimes you might wanna take a walk without walking in the street. I’m thinking about moving there some day NYC Is too crowded.
I understand what you mean. Alpine is a quiet and pleasant neighborhood to live in. The plan to move to the Alpine is cool.

So, there are no sidewalks anywhere in Alpine NJ? Everybody there just drives around? I think I saw just one person walking in the street. Certainly a lot of big trees everywhere you look. Cool that there no raggedy streets over there.

Seems like you'd have to do quite a lot of driving just find the nearest Supermarket or Dry Cleaners over in Alpine.

Didn't see stone mansion. (1 Frick DR) Was hoping you'd go by there. Since there's been so much talk & photographs. Maybe on your next trip. Stay and be safe. 👍
@BiggDaddy nobody can see Fredrick drive unless if you have an agent or if you live there and was invited by someone that’s the only way. Fredrick drive is highly gated and they have security to the point no one can pass.
@@nolimitprincee4320 Thx for reply. However not sure if we're on the same page. You said (Fredrick Dr). I was talking about (1 Frick Dr). Which is aka (Stone Mansion). Wasn't sure if it was visible from the street or not.
@@biggdaddy3852 Only the outer stone property wall, gates, and guard house of 1 FRICK DRIVE are visible from the street. After going past those gates, you'd have to make a left turn through a 2nd set of gates and follow the long driveway which leads directly to the house, I mean huge 33,000 square foot, 42 room mansion. I did quite a bit of reading up on that estate also and saw all the videos about it.
@@dionkelly8420 Thx Dion Kelly. It's a shame it's been on the market this long. But with the high property taxes, but unless the owner and town council can make a neutral agreement, I guess it will set awhile longer. I know my family and I love it. It's really a gem. 👌
@@biggdaddy3852 Coincidentally, there's another famous, slightly bigger mansion literally directly across from 1 FRICK DRIVE that rarely gets mentioned. I think it's 887 CLOSTER DRIVE. But as for The Stone Mansion, my question is, how does someone keep from getting lost in a house that big with 42 rooms? I wouldn't mind living there if I was rich.
