Fantastic Conference!!! I really enjoyed the interview with Agnico undoubtedly the best mining company in the world. The management team continues to execute in all facets including controlling expenses and sticking to Canada. I cant believe the management teams of Newmont and Barrick still have jobs. How can your stock be down on the year when the price of gold is up. This is why generalist don't want to enter the sector. Historically miners have been poor stewards of capital and by and large this has not changed. The Centerra Gold is a new name for me but it appears Paul and company stil have a lot of work to do. 💥💯👍
Exceptional content Mr Connor! I enjoyed hearing the backstory of Canadian Malartic bought for $88k and sold for $4 billion and now worth $15 billion+. Let's hope Caribou is another Malartic
Thanks for the comment Steve! Yes this was an amazing story. I always love hearing the backstory behind great successes. Check out my interview with Eric Sprott. He also has an amazing backstory.
Gold has been an okay investment over the long term but the disconnect between the gold price and equities is disconcerting. I wonder if the Central Bank buying has created an artificial price and this is why many of the equites are not reflecting $2600 gold. In other words, the gold price should be much lower.
Thanks for the comment/question Jonathan! There is an agenda in the show notes. It will go into Replay at the conclusion and we will add chapters so you can go from one interview to another.
I don't envy these miners trying to get capital investment. Investors have no tolerance for the type of complications that the mining industry is going through, especially for miners heavily reliant on a single metal. As an investor I'm way more interested in broader based miners like BHP or RIO. If I'm going to invest in a single metal it will be a spot price ETF to take away any mining complications. Just speculate on the spot price.
Thanks for the comment Greg and for taking the time to view our content! You raise a good point in that very few people understand the complexities of mining and then you throw in the geo-political element and there is no sector as complicated.
I really enjoyed the conversation with David Garofalo. I think he was dead on when he said that reserves are being depleted and the only way companies can grow is by M&A. However, given Newmont's stock performance, it's acquisition strategy leaves a lot to be desired.
Thanks for the comment Jack! There is an agenda in the show notes. The conference will go into Replay at the conclusion and we will add chapters so you can go from one interview to another.
$GROY Garafolo is unbelievable. Criticizes Newmont and Barrick for their performance while GROY is worse than either. Hey David: Stop issuing equity and maybe your stock could actually go up. No more so-called deals!
I think this economy is living on borrowed time. The USD is way over valued and is going to collapse along with the global economy and the only thing that will save you is gold.
I’d like to know if Gold Royalty has any interest pursuing royalties on urban mines. E-waste is the most mineral rich substance on earth. Flash Joule Heating has reduced the time, cost, and environmental harm of recycling e-waste. Only 25% of the e-waste we produce each year is recycled. We produce enough to circle the equator with 40 ton trucks full of the stuff. MTM Critical Metals has the global license for Flash Joule Heating in mining and urban mining operations. I’m sure a deal can be done. They seem more interested in rare earths than monetary metals.

Agreed. Do as central banks are doing, in their case acquiring to the tune of 1100+ tons of physical gold in each of the last two years.
I buy BTO and AG for Gold and Silver miners.
Thanks for the comment Mathias! Both are quality companies and I will reach out to both for our next conference.
