Hello David, I got this cello almost 20 years ago in Russia. I showed it to several prominent experts, but nobody can tell me who made it. Some suggested it was Italian, some that it was made in Germany, others told me it is has French origins. I am not very upset about it - this is my voice I was fortunate to find.
