    dear friend ,
    you are doing very nice by explaining such topics on you tube.Thats nice infact i felt very nice by seeing that somebody is explaining about naphtha crarcker on online forum.but i would like to suggest one thing that ,the technology you explained in outdated and very few are using ,so try to explain CBI LUMMUS ,TECHNIP,LINDE naphtha crackers ,nowdays perople are aware about it and these are giants in naphtha cracker technology,

    What is the typical residence time in tube still heater?

      Typically it is a little on the higher side as it is a cracking reaction, depends on the desire Monomer, higher the residence time, greater will be the extent of cracking and hence lower carbon monomers will be obtained

      Because the first attack with be on the double pi bond as it is easier to break, also because double pi bond creates higher electronic dense centers of lone pairs for attack of hydrogen.
