I did marching band for all four years of high school and once you get the hang of it it’s really not that hard. You learn the music and do the counts in your head.
I don’t get the appeal. Yea she has some blue eyes or whatever but I don’t see it. They cut that girl from last season who has a slow working memory but let this one make the team
I’ve attended the first two home games for the Cowboys this season. I can honestly state that Meredith on the TV show is the same Meredith I saw on both game days. She has all the same struggles and is usually off by 1-2 counts. It seemed that she was always watching the others and duplicating their moves instead of being in sync and moving with them on the count. At times, you could tell by her facial expressions that she was feeling overwhelmed. Sure, she made the team, but it’s obvious that she needs more practice. In her case, they did her no favors by keeping her before she was ready. Because the ladies move so fluidly as one, it really stands out when she’s off count. And before anyone suggests it, I seriously doubt that her struggles on game day are scripted for drama on the show. I’ve never seen the show go out of their way to embarrass someone on the team.
Tinker Forester honestly at this point I feel bad for her. They are keeping her there for whatever reason (she has ties maybe) and I’m sure she is happy that she stayed. However, I don’t think throwing her out there like this is gonna prepare her and help her grow better/faster then if she was cut and continued to take more classes that would help her get ready for the next auditions.
Gosh, that's really too bad. Well, she was lucky that she made the team but they can't keep on someone that is constantly missing counts. I don't know how these girls do it. They are all amazing. I couldn't begin to learn one dance....much less dozens and dozens of them and always be on point. That's why I love these videos so much. They really show how hard it is to make the team and stay on it. But, getting back to Meredith...I did wonder after they let her make the team if she was able to improve. I wish her the best. and Malena from the season before this. Malena was even benched by another NFL cheer team because she can’t dance yet DCC waited until the day before the first game to cut her and Lily. She couldn’t do anything.
and they also kept Kat, they were constantly saying her name because she wasn't getting it, and in 2020 never once saying anything to Lily, it was too unnerving to watch. so my vote; Happy to see the show go off the air, 2 worst coaches I have ever seen.
E • I think you misunderstood me. I think this is all scripted or at least a well thought out story line in which Meredith is supposed to be the problem child. She will eventually rise and shine. This is because otherwise people have nothing to tune into, since it’s basically the same every year.

Watching these videos and reading replys on a whim. I believe there's a whole lot of sneaky stuff goes on with that Federation. Who knows who and if the coaches don't like you for whatever reason your out or don't get selected at all. I don't believe it's all true blue in the background so to speak. Just my opinion. Tbh. Every single rookie should know the field entrance and jump split kick line before they get there. They ALL say how much the love the dcc and watch them so much since they were young. There are so many videos of the iconic dances. How can they have no idea how to do it?
What I have never understood about this particular issue is that is entrance thing is NOT a secret. The rookie could go online and find videos of it and at least learn part of it ahead of time.
That moment dancers and cheerleaders finally understand what marching band and colorguard goes thru (I'm a former colorguard so i had to learn about each hash and yard line in terms of our show!
I finally worked out what really, really annoyed me about Meredith in this one. It wasn't that she was behind, or off. It was that SHE DIDN'T FINISH. In skating it is one thing we are always taught to do. No matter how far behind you are, how many falls you take, you finish the damn program. You don't just fade out like that.

So where are the ppl trashing Taylor who REALLY screwed up that round of skidding that technically each and every one of them could have memorized even before they auditioned? (Same goes for that high kicks line thing - it's a trademark thing, learn it.)
They're not, because Taylor would made a mistake then FIX IT. She showed improvement and got better as the show went on. She fully deserved her spot. Meredith continued to make the same mistakes every week, got called into the office pretty much every week, she stuffed up the media training, the photoshoot, every dance they ever learned, and somehow still made the team. That's why everyone's frustrated.
I don't understand how Meredith was so confused when she was a ballerina. And ballet is a lot harder. She's a great dancer, but quite frankly she made the team because she's pretty, and looks good in the uniform

honesty think that DCC did meredith so dirty. they couldn’t cut her early on so she can take a year and improve, but instead, the kept her and now she’s constantly struggling and being overwhelmed
If you are watching this...and it is your DREAM to be a DCC..please find a football field in your neighbourhood and practice the entry before you even show up for tryouts next year! :-)

I’m sorry I’m in marching band and a 4-to-the-5 is a little bit hard if you have short legs lol but these girls seem like they have long enough legs to make it. It also goes by fast, which is even more challenging.
Haha-I was in marching band too and was just thinking they have it so easy with the 4 to 5.
