highly realistic. a great play. It does not seem like an old play.. like a play written for today.

Written in 1882, couldn’t be more relevant in 2020

Thanx for sharing your video: I fear the discovery of things about myself I don't wish to know: My tiny brain and it's puny mind is threatened which is so unstable anyway: Ego is so fragile and simultaneously conceited. Emotion makes all this possible. Without feeling I may as well be dead anyway.
Telling other people things they don't wish to hear is dangerous, in terms of potentially immanent physical death at their hands, regardless of content and, or whether you might have their best of health at heart, it will not save your life.
It seems to come down to conviction, "for truth" is a meaningless remark, if you "know" I'm talking shit. Your conviction will not change by anything coming from someone you don't like. If we don't like ourselves what do we believe we know, that will make us feel better about ourselves? Ego's impossible triumph is to believe that it knows of truth beyond conviction: "Things as they really are", Ego will kill to protect it's bubble already pricked but without self-awareness. Without my stupid certainties my vanity is revealed, but most scarily of all to my self.
Yes it probably is something of a breakthrough to really listen and reflect on information coming from someone we're averse towards. When we hurl expletives at each other, all we have communicated amounts to nothing more than disgust.
If egotism is such that anything we don't wish to know is crap, we deny we're prejudiced; and the person telling us anything to the contrary is as an enemy and must be destroyed, in more compassionate communities the offender is mentally ill and must be committed to an institution for hot wiring. Yes another alternative : just dismiss me as another moron.
My estranged siblings forgive me for boring you with my banal ranting. I do wonder if it's really possible to be indifferent to reproach and praise, most of all with relation to the entity we spend every moment of our transience on earth with. "Me me me so selfish".
