I met Anthony Newley back in the 50's when he was visiting our town promoting the film Idol on Parade, How different it was then! No red carpet, just Tony and his manager, he sat with us in the cinema to watch the film then we all went dancing at the Locarno! :-) Just before he died, he came to a local theatre with his one man show - it was excellent. I dropped him a line telling him how much I'd enjoyed the show and he replied. Lovely talented man.

Yes, that's where I got the clip from. In the UK, the title was IDLE ON PARADE, changed to IDOL ON PARADE for the US market.
