I rarely watch cdrama because of the toxic masculinity in most part. Its ok for male to get angry, cheat, let other female seduce him etc and FL mostly need to endure it & just keep forgiving. This drama also like that. Second ML always seem better to me.
I always get second lead syndrome because the male lead is always so controlling, abusive (physically and mentally), and the second lead is literally the opposite. Always treating her like a queen that she deserves to be treated….;(

I strongly recommend “Forever Love” It’s the most beautiful C drama I’ve ever watched. To me, The FL is the most beautiful girl in China. She has a strong personality, she is smart unlike all the female characters in cdramas. She is a caring and supporting girlfriend & loyal but independent daughter. I really loved that drama and felt lucky to discover it in this sea of dramas. 🙂
And he asks her in the stairwell, "what's wrong?" OMG, so incredibly self centered and she gives him an adoring look instead of telling him he is such a jerk. And I like the 2ML, but he is an enabler, making excuses for the ML to act the way he does. Run, Lu Li, run!
But ofc, the jerk always gets the girl in the end. 😪🤦🏻♀️ Asians dramas should really stop this kind of concept. It's annoying. 🙄 like do they really think that women are really only after looks & status that no matter how much of a jerk a man is, we're still gonna choose them? Tsk!
This was a contract marriage. Luli knew he didn't love her. Luli was in love with him for 5 years and kept hoping he would love her back. He insulted, humiliated and demeaned her with everything, her job, her personality etc. Then he would do little things for Luli and Luli would be glad for any scraps of affection. When ex came back, he was at ex's beck and call. He even insulted Luli in front of ex. In his eyes, ex can do no wrong. He kept lying to Luli whenever he met with ex. Even after he found out the truth, how ex continuously schemed against Luli, he didn't punish her. If it was Luli, he would have humiliated her in front of everyone. IMO, I think he more pitied Luli, instead of loved her, because it was only after reading her blog that he suddenly had an "epiphany" that he's in love with her. How come he didn't know he loved Luli? After all he knew what love is, as he loved his ex right?
I hate him lol he's Issa annoying af ...he doesn't even know how his wife feelings with those hurting words omg what kind of drama is this so complicated...I wish she can have backbone later and make him chase her lol

Es decir para él como jefe le está permitido ser sbusivo y ella como empleada debe tolerar el abuso verbal, los gritos humillaciones y ninguneos. se convence que así debe ser, después se da cuenta lo abusivo que fue va hacia ella como si nada hubiese sucedido la abraza y la llama Sra. Jian. Después de haberle dicho que solo es Sra. Jian en el papel. De paso para alejar a Yimin de Luli aunque a él, ella no le interese. Ese patrón de conducta se repite a lo largo del drama, golpe y consuelo. Agregando luego la triangulación con la novia, Comportamiento tóxico típico del narcisista manipulador. Puras banderas Rojas.
I am not to bodyshame, but most chinese actresses are too thin. They look anorexic. I have hard time watching them especially when their face is showing almost no muscles but bones and skin. Some chinese actress that I like are the lead in Unforgettable love and Bai Lu. Though they are also skinny, it appears to me that they are stronger and heathier at least. I hope the FL in this drama is not taking risks to appear so thin on camera.
They actually have the idea of beauty as being thin. I saw a video and they said "the more thin you are, the more beautiful you are". So you can expect that in any series or movie you watch
